September 6, 201511 yr Wondering if they try to offer him another one after the season. Meaning Fernandez. If he doesn't return this year, its unlikely. If he does, maybe. They want to see how his arm looks now.
September 6, 201511 yr If he doesn't return this year, its unlikely. If he does, maybe. They want to see how his arm looks now. I mean they threw him an extremely fair contract for a guy who hadn't made a pitch of TJ...If Jose wouldn't accept something then, he sure ain't going to now (tks boras)
September 6, 201511 yr I wouldn't accept a below market deal that buys out any of free agency. Offer something sorta along market value today and with tomorrow's projections, then I'd give a year or two of free agency up.

September 6, 201511 yr isn't that what they offered to jose/ozuna ie similr to yelich? beats me. Boras will take an extension for a player through arby years and tell his client to take it if it's in line with future projection models.
September 6, 201511 yr Though a yelich like contract id never advise my client to take if my client is Jose Fernandez.
September 6, 201511 yr Though a yelich like contract id never advise my client to take if my client is Jose Fernandez. Even though he was coming off Tommy John? Major risk
September 6, 201511 yr You peeps are discussing Jose and Ozuna's contract offers as if you know some of the specifics. Is this true or are you just basing it off of what Yelich got?
September 6, 201511 yr Even though he was coming off Tommy John? Major risk yes, its a calculated risk though, but the odds in 2015 of recovering from tommy john and being just as good if not better are worth the risk
