The Angels are done with him, his options are now limited, he has to choose from whatever opportunities he has left if he wants to keep pitching, and those opportunities may now come in California.
November 23, 20169 yr So my take... I don't want him... so I say he can have a minor league deal with incentives but in no way does this guy get a guaranteed roster spot. He can be a backup plan, we can't depend on him. I don't want to have Opening Day come around and Mike Hill is telling me that we'll be a contender because of the acquisition of CJ Wilson.
November 23, 20169 yr CJ Wilson seems to be made of glass. Marlins made a big offer back in 2011 Winter Meetings and Buerhle was just their fall back plan. Ending up working out since we got rid of the Buerhle contract and the CJ contract would have been a disaster. Guy is gonna be seeking an MLB contract, I'd check back on him after the Winter Meetings if anything.
November 23, 20169 yr a left handed non durable Tom Koehler. Very Marlins esque. He's gonna get multiple years though guys. If Cashner gets $10m CJ prob gets 2 or 3 at $10-12m per year. I'm going to say 2/24 with a third year team option
