4/29 postgame

Since I couldn't post this in the game thread...

Bour hit 15 HR's in 90 games last year, and hit 23 the year before. How is Hech even close to being a better hitter than Bour?

I don't even like Bour that much either, but it's pretty clear who the better hitter is. Hech is the one of the worst hitters in baseball.

The entire team was trash tonight. How about that instead of picking out one specific player just because his history would indicate he's not that great of a hitter? NOBODY hit tonight. Nobody was patient. A complete game under 100 pitches shouldn't be a thing.

I would like to know why anyone would think Hech is a better hitter than...well, any other player in baseball. Hech sucks. Hopefully Jeter, being a shortstop, realizes how much he sucks and gets us a new shortstop.

Look, there's nothing to analyze tonight. Also, there's no reason to be down on the team after every loss like it's disappointing that they lose. I think most people expected this team to lose a lot.

So lets talk about things that need to be fixed. The first thing that needs to be fixed is the automatic out at the bottom of the order. The more automatic outs a team has, the more likely it is that the offense is going to suck.

For what it's worth, Bour is one of the things that needs to be fixed too. It's ridiculous that this team thinks he's an every day 1B.

I'm not sure where everyone gets this we were expected to lose a lot bullshit. We have a great lineup (minus Hechavarria), Bret defense and a very talented bullpen.

Unbelievable.

What does last year have to do with today?

That he sucks.

That he sucks.

Relevant to the discussion where someone said Hech was a better hitter than Bour.

Sure. But the entire team sucked tonight, I'd rather focus on that rather than one specific player.

Just for tonight.

Ah I don't care, I should probably step away for the evening.

We DO NOT have a great lineup. Our lineup (which has been together for a long time now) has never been a top offense in the big leagues. Seriously, it's average at best.

The bullpen has been a bit of a disappointment (part of it seems real since Tazawa actually sucks now), but that's somewhat expected when the rotation is trash and the manager has no set roles in the pen.

This team is probably not making the playoffs.

Since when can you dictate what we can discuss or can't discuss?

I'm confused why you are trying to stop this conversation.

Lineup won't be good until the Marlins get a SS who isn't a total piece of shit and a 1B who is good enough to bat against LHP and RHP.

This is the same offense that finished last year 27th in runs scored.

The year before, they were 29th in runs scored.

Part of that is injuries, but part of that is also that they are nowhere near "great." This is the type of offense that could be good enough if the pitching staff were any better than trash. It's not the type of offense that's going to carry a team through a season.

Also not going to be good until Stanton learns to not have month long slumps [he's starting one now, by the way]. Regardless of who we add, the offense lives and dies by that sword.

True, and this is who Stanton is.
