June 14, 20179 yr With the slow start and Urena a little shaky I thought we were in trouble. Toward the middle of the game it changed. The bats heated up, Urena became solid and with all the mistakes made by the Athletics the score kept getting higher and higher. We had a couple of home runs, Ichy hit as a pinch hitter, and their pitchers had trouble. So one more Athletics game and then onto the Braves. (Oh vey, our nemesis) And there we get to see Mr. Freeze (is that how it is spelled)? Then a 10 game home stand against the Nationals, Cubs and Mets. There is 6 games there that may give us an indication we are actually doing.
June 14, 20179 yr Team will need to get to 500 soon or remain completely irrelevant and invite the fire sale to come. The clock is ticking.
June 14, 20179 yr Urena becoming a serviceable pitcher may turn out to be one of the bright spots this first half. I've never been much of a fan, but at least he's been decent. And over the past month the bullpen has been steadier which has allowed them to pull shaky starters out after 5 or 6 innings, which was the plan all along. Offense has to keep it up.
