Well they really needed to acquire 4 starters.

 

They somehow hit on Straily, great on them.  The Volquez deal was moronic then and still is now (especially given his surgery which seemed to come out of nowhere, typical Marlins).

Ehh,  Volquez surgery seems pretty flukey and not a typical Marlins thing. He was pretty consistent and healthy through the years. I still don't have a problem with the Volquez signing on its own. There should have been a better staff around him but acting like you knew the Volquez signing would be a bust is pretty lame especially if you wanna put it on an injury that no one saw coming.
