Perhaps, but id find it hard to believe given the amount of guys out there for cheap that they couldnt have offered a million or 2 more than another team or given a guy a major league contract while others offered minor league deals. Needed to make it happen, especially when the contracts are almost universally being signed at a value given the crazy free agent market this offseason.

March 20, 20188 yr Makes sense to push him back a couple games and have him start game 4 or 5 if he doesn't end up going on the DL. By end of this week you will start to see a lot more pitchers getting released by other teams.
