So many shitty flat sliders Alcantara has thrown this inning. 

 

 

Don Mattingly, if you were the manager and your pitcher gave up a 3 run HR and a 2 run HR in the 6th inning what would you do?

 

 

Nats have a great lineup but Alcantara pitched like garbage last inning. Every slider was just flat, hanging curveball to Adams, fastball down the middle and belt high to Gomes.  He threw more mistake pitches that entire inning than he did the previous 5

This team has a bunch of decent pitchers but no one with ace potential like we had with Jose. It takes a pitcher like that to shut down an offense as good as the Nats that are on a roll like they are.  Their offense has feasted on this staff the entire year.
