Marlins signed catcher Mike Redmond

Featured Replies

Good, Mike Redmond took a paycut to stay with this team. He is my second favorite player behind a certain Mr. Marlin Jeff Conine.

I like Mike, he's a good clubhouse leader, a proven Vet, and a good hitter.

SuperAngels, why is it that in ALL your posts you put the :unsure : post icon. Just wondering.

I like to use a post icon, I was using a LOL icon but members wondered!

Because it is there and legal!

Finally Redmond gets a raise. The other year, i remember he was getting 400,000.

Now that he is going to start more, he deserves it.

He took a 20% cut from his 2003 salary... Oh well, i think he was making 400,000 in 2002 if i believe.

are you serious why wouldn't he be serious?

I mean I like Mike redmond and I know he has his own opinion but he isn't that good. :)

he's alright, he's been a .300 hitter in the past, he's also a very animated and funny guy which i guess makes him attractive to the fans.

I hope he gets some playing time this year to Prove Himself.

Nice to see the lefty dominator back in teal.

I guess that fulfills our catcher needs... unless Castro gets screwed over.

Just because you're not that good, doesn't mean you can't be a fan favorite (SEE: Joe McEwing).

He deserves much more. He has been a good player when given the chance and he kills leftys. not after his 2003 campaign

He deserves much more. He has been a good player when given the chance and he kills leftys. Mike may deserve more, but the market is just not going to give it to him. There really weren't any other options for him.

Ramon absolutely crushes lefties, and we don't need two guys to do that.

Although, Mike is a very valuable bench option.
