This is basically the team as is. Penny, Pavano, and Beckett's salaries are what they're most likely to recieve through arby, but are not final. I believe that's A-Gon's 2004 salary, but if it's wrong, someone please correct me.

where is spoonybarger, just because he is hurt doesnt mean he doesnt count.

I believe his salary is covered by insurance.

I believe his salary is covered by insurance.

oh come on just put it in

its better to estimate high then low

so it seems like even in the worst case, we have at least 5-7 million more to play with next year. not too shabby. that could net us another bat at 3-4 mill and 2 more pitchers at 1 or 2 mill each.

We're alomst directly on $50 Million.

Alomst $10 Million to work with and we don't have $6 Million for a Javy?

Lowell is 6.5 this year if I am not mistaken.

That all looks pretty reasonable. Shows that Beinfest is in a good position to fill a few holes.

But it also makes you wonder if the "budget parameters" that he was instructed to make were equal to last year's salary....thus the reason for never letting it out. The $60M figure may have been no more than a "figure of imagination" from the press.

I would be extreamely disappointed if Loria gave him aroud the same payroll as last years to work with.

i am at 53.4 million.

adding in salary slots for hte players not on our roster needed to fill out the team....1 million for a fifth starter...1 million for a reliever...500,000 for a bench reserve.

although technically you need to include every member on your 40 man roster, since the parent pays that salary.

the marlins don't insure players, spooneybarger or anyone else

penny beckett and pavano are woefully underpriced, not even close

What are you talking about?

Those are very realistic arbitration numbers.

And I'll add Spooneybarger to that total.

I agree with you on Penny and Pavano, but Beckett's not eligible for arbitration and no way he's going to get more than a 500K raise.

Forget javy right now we need a solid outfielder because i don't feel comftorable with conine in left, did the jose guillen contract go through?
