If we made Lee an 8-million dollar man, we would have needed him to be our Sammy Sosa, and he's not that calibur of player.

December 22, 200322 yr we dont have a "star" Luis Castillo? Mike Lowell? Dontrelle Willis? Miguel Cabrera? Josh Beckett? Castillo and Lowell are two time All-Stars, Dontrelle is obviously a star after his enterence into the league (also a one time All-Star in one year), and Miguel and Josh are obviously stars after their post-seasons.

December 22, 200322 yr Who the hell made the no stars claim? Alot of them were mentioned already. But you know what? The most important person on our team still is here. I know it might sound biased being I'm probably the biggest fan of his ever, but Juan Pierre is the most important person on our team. Forget Pudge, forget Lee, forget the pitching. If he is not on our team, we do not win the World Series, get there, make the playoffs, or finish .500. Juanpy at the top of the order is the catalyst for destruction, and Luiy is as well. If Juanpy doesn't get on base, Pudge can't be "clutch". If Juanpy doesn't make another ridiculous catch every other day, then who knows how many games go the other way in the win-loss columns. If Juanpy doesn't fly like a madman in Game 3 to score the winning run on a man with a cannon arm who knows if we even get to the NLCS. What about The Catch in Boston that put the lid on the game that turned our season around? All those ridiculous plays in the Triangle? The catches he made those pivotal games in the Vet? Please, get that star BS the hell out of here. The most valuable man in the whole damn league patrols Center Field in Joe Robbie Stadium. He is here until 2005. And he needs to be here longer. *Gets off soapbox*

December 23, 200322 yr IMHO Juan P. will continue to be one of the most underrated players in baseball. +.300 batting average, 200+ hits, spectacular defense, one of the best bunt hitters in the game. He is definately top 2 MVP of the Florida Marlins. I also wanted to say on this, my first post, that I and a VLAD follower.....He will be wearing Marlin teal one way or another...
