Posted August 3, 20213 yr We are currently 12 game behind (ahead?) of Arizona for the 1st overall pick and 10.5 games behind the Mets for 1st place, but we did lose 2 of our outfielders and 1 relievers at the deadline. Could come down to the wire. Edited August 3, 20213 yr by FishFan95
August 3, 20213 yr That’s tuff because Arizona is really bad and the Mets aren’t that great. My vote is last place if Don gets well soon.
August 3, 20213 yr The starting rotation is so good though but Don will find a way to lose. Knowing that how can anyone vote closer to 1st in the division? Edited August 3, 20213 yr by FishFry

He needs more reps at this level. If Ng was a restaurant manager the menu would be inconsistent and out of season. IDK maybe Rogers. Now that I think of it, Arizona plays in the hardest division. Screw it, Don will find a way, he always does.

I mean the Marlins are actually a game over .500 against everyone in the NL besides the Cardinals (who we are done with). We got absolutely screwed by the AL East, but there are only 3 games left against that division. The Marlins aren't even much worse than they were in May (when Marte was out and Duvall was slumping hard). We we treading water then. Most of our remaining games are against the division which has been less than stellar. I see 3 mediocre teams who love to choke the season away and a team that is a shell of its former self after the deadline. We could even finish ahead of the Nats! All of that put together, I would wager that there is at least a 60% chance that we finish closer to 1st place in the division so I picked that option. We can revisit this after the season if you want.

August 19, 20213 yr Looking closer with last place each day. Like I said, if Don returns soon enough, which he did, we will finish last. They are 1-4 or 1-5 record with him now? We are officially in last behind the Nats.

The former Yankee player & FO hack can't wait to not spend $$$ this off-season !

They played that already earlier by not firing Don over two months ago and extending him so they could be sellers rather than buyers. Marte contract proves that.
