The official statement says the Marlins have acquired the player to be named later. 

If they've already acquired him then how come they still don't know his name? Have they even bothered asking him? Is he someone so rude that he hasn't introduced himself yet? This makes no sense.

Maybe he's changing his name.  That's a thing these days.
