August 31, 20233 yr Author If they did zero claims, at least we could say it is because they gave up on this season. Though that'd still be shitty when not far out of the playoffs. But they did try for a couple of relievers, so it is incomprehensible that they didn't put claims in on anyone else.

Has to be another case of being cheap, right? I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure if a player gets waived, the team that claims him ends up on the hook for the remainder of his salary for that season. So I guess the FO didn't want to pay a month's salary. Lol. Classic.

Yea putting claims on some but not others means Kim was told who to try and get and who to avoid, so that's on Bruce.

We saw at the deadline that when she wants something she goes for it and she said at the deadline that Bruce was fully supporting her. I can't imagine she wouldn't have bothered asking him for support on this one. Whether she got it or not is entirely different but I don't think she's ignore this opportunity.
