September 30, 20232 yr At this point in the season, the worst case scenario is that we lose the last 2 regular season games and the Cubs or Reds win their last 2. Leaving us in a do or die inning Monday afternoon where we have a 2-1 lead. Incredibly weird situation in this incredibly weird season. Either way, the pitcher in that case would have to be Tanner Scott to close out the game. However, a more likely scenario as of right now is having to play that game for the WC2 spot as we’re 0.5 behind Arizona and hold the tiebreaker against them too. Who would pitch if it’s for WC2? I personally wouldn’t go with Tanner Scott in this case. I’m thinking the logical choice would be Matt Moore since he’s pretty good and also not eligible for the playoffs anyway. Thoughts? I kind of want to stay home from work on Monday just to watch the last, random final inning of the regular season regardless.

It's gotta be Moore since after Monday he can't pitch any...Moore.

But I'd be surprised if the Marlins weren't an early time slot, an afternoon game. Edit: I'm a dumbass and thought this was about the first round of playoffs. Monday's game will be 1:10 PM.
