Marlins already had a season high in runs and they add another. 7 runs now!

Arias.

Luarbert Arias. He struggled badly but is still young.

Norby in lineup in JAX. 2 for 2 already. Sanchez also playing and has a hit.

Both should be back next week.

Graham Pauley probably shouldn't answer his phone this week.

He's looked really good at 3rd base though. Just need to go down and work on his hitting.

Cronin, Sanchez and Norby should all be back very soon. Reinforcements aren on the way.

What is the word on Nardi?

He's throwing again but still a ways off.

Sometime in May, if I remember correctly.

Fish win as they kept nosing ahead. Another Merv-bomb and Faucher gave us a drama free 9th. Quantrill going tomorrow but tough sledding against Nats ace Gore.

The good: Good Stowers was back for the second game in a row. He's making strides. Faucher with a 1-2-3 9th for the save.

The bad: Proud papa Sandy was more miss than hit today. He gets a pass for now.

The ugly: Worst home plate ump I've seen all year as his strike zone was just off.

Time to wrap up the weekend and welcome back what should be our two best hitters next week.

Nice win. Mervis, Stowers, and Conine have been solid early on. Otto has cooled off but still a stud defensively at 2nd base.

Need bullpen to be better. Tinoco is back, and Cronin should be back soon.

Interesting to see who goes down when Sanchez comes back.

Sandy is rusty but still battling. Need him to get that rust off.

What about Josh Simpson? Can’t keep rostering Soriano

I don't think Simpson or Rooney are on the 40-man roster so they would have to DFA someone to create a spot. The only guy over 30 on the 40-man is Brantly so if they DFA someone else there is a good chance they get picked up. Soriano is still only 26 so he'd likely get claimed although if he keeps pitching like he has he will force them to get rid of him. The won't get rid of Brantly likely until Fortes is fully healthy and/or Agustin comes up which would be June at the earliest.

I have no idea if Soriano can be optioned or the option status of others.

Pretty sure Pauley goes down when Norby comes back unless they can IL somebody.

When Sanchez comes back and Cronin (if the call him up) there is a weird roster crunch which might force Sanoja back down, which would be a shame.
