Okay. As a ball player, Morel is significantly worse than Avi Garcia. At the same time, he is signed to 1 year and $2 million. So he is far less damaging to the team.

That should have been an easy double play ball and the inning is over. This fucking infield in bullshit in the early innings is so fucking stupid! I really can't stand this type of baseball. If this is Bendix, then fuck him. It it's Clayton, then he needs to go ASAP. Just fucking clueless.

I think his days are numbered. As soon as Conine is ready to come back, or they're ready to recall Ramirez, he'll be gone.

For a while I was saying that Caissie needs to rebound or else he would be the casualty of the Conine return. He has done so. It does not seem like the team is going to give Morel a chance to rebound if they play him just 1 game per series.

Marlins are giving 5 million to Avi Gacia, and 4 million to Paddack to not even play at all. They are paying the Yankees 10 million for Stanton.

If there was a salary floor in effect already, I wonder if those would count towards or not. I imagine that'll come up in bargaining if a floor is added.

I wonder if this stupidity with going for the back side of the bag when sliding is causing more outs than not. We make so many outs on the bases. Either our guys are slow, and don't get good jumps, or this stupid slide has something to do with it. It seems to me that it slows them down. Just fucking do a hard slide and get in there!

Stowers quietly hit 5 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 homer on the road trip. Marsee with a .363 OBP on the trip.

Marsee, if that counts as a steal, is just 2 for 5 stealing on the trip though.

Fairbanks had an era under 3 in 4 of his 6 seasons witht the Rays. It was under 2 in 2022. He has an era over 7 with the Marlins after being over 9 in his cup of coffee with the Rangers. How do the Rays do this shit?

it's still early so who knows how it'll end up but what a nice start for Meyer. If nothing else finally dude gets to show who he is and just be a starter in the bigs. Already 27 (after all the injuries) so not a kid anymore, but feel great for the guy. Pitching for the most part has been a mess for the team with injuries & performance but I would not have predicted Max to be the one leading the group.
