Caissie hit an opposite field homer in his 2nd at bat today as he starts his rehab assignment tonight.

We are looking at Faucher and Fairbanks 8-9, right? God save us....

If we end up holding on or not…. Continuing to put Fairbanks in these high leverage situations is just pure stubbornness and stupidity. He should have been demoted long ago.

Bruce Sherman gets a lot of deserved crap from the fanbase, but I get the impression that he really likes Sandy. If Sandy gets another extension to stay with the fish, then he is undoubtably the best starting pitcher in team history. Not only a surefire to get into the Marlins HOF, but likely the first retired number.

Tomorrow is gonna be tough. Ryan Gusto has been good in his last 4 outings. Just 2 ER in 9.2 innings. However, Luzardo has been on fire. A 1.46 ERA on 49.1 IP in his last 8 starts. 13.1 K/9 for him. Plus he is a lefty, so it's gonna be tough. Best case might be to work him to deep counts and go for the bullpen. But Gusto is unlikely to go deep and we have a shotty bullpen.

Fairbanks had the juice tonight. Seemed far more confident and love the energy.

The luzardo trade still hurts bad. Maybe Caba is okay someday but Lizardo is a top 20 SP now and they could really have used him. Hometown guy too.
