Ok Joe.........Nah.......it's just that they're an ownership group that can't actually afford to run the team how it needs to be run/at the payroll it needs in the market to prove they're committed to winning, so they're in "make money" mode with how they operate. They got the team because Jeter was involved. The other main group in talks was the Mas brothers, and they've shown with Inter Miami that they'd have been great owners that would've been willing to spend and win, but they didn't have Jeter, so talks were steered the other way.Not much more to it than that, IMO.They can afford it they choose not too, not sure which is worse. Sherman is worth billions now not the $300M or whatever reported in 2017
