Coke vs Pepsi

Featured Replies

well, i'm from the South....we all call it coke...whether it's sprite, coke, pepsi, etc....it's coke. I got friends from rural SC (like Dillon, SC) who had never even heard someone say the word "soda" until they met some Yankees that came down to SC to go to school at Furman (my friend who is from Dillon, SC...his roommate happened to be from Paramus, NJ! lol, and they get along great).

Well I call Pepsi or Coca Cola, Coke. But Sprite and the others I call them how they are. I call all soft drinks, soda never had called any of them pop.

The way I've been raised, everything is referred to by the leader of the field. Coke is the name for all sodas, Nintendo for all video games, Pampers for all diapers, Windex for all cleaners, etc. That is just the way it is.

Oh, and I go through a 2 liter bottle of Coke in 1-2 days. That answer what I voted for?

I actually like both, but have a tendency towards Coke... Agressive commercial campaign...They make you feel that you may die if you don't drink the damm thing.
