  1. Devil is in the details. If proper warnings were not made prior to the contest, it's absolutely the radio show's fault. If proper warnings were made and ignored by the contestants, then it's a little tougher call, as in did the contest directly cause the death, or did the woman's own relucance to use the restroom play a role. See, this is such a dangerous and anti-American stance (meaning it's American as can be in this ridiculous-litigious age we live in) it's not even funny. She has the freedom and the will to stop drinking. How did the radio station make her do anything? How are they at fault when she's the idiot who could have stopped? I don't think warnings should be made before every single activity. Drinking and not driving, fine, a warning. But, if the radio station told the people to drive somewhere and pick up the tickets and that woman just HAPPENS to drive off the cliff, that's like holding the radio station accountable for telling her to get in a car. This is evolution, sorry. One less moron. That's my stance.
  2. *shrugs* He smokes weed, so what? And "sources close" aren't the police, so we'll see.
  3. First of all, know your candidate before you make a decision: http://obama.senate.gov/ Click on the links under the heading "On the Issues." Bear in mind that you need to look for key words such as "introduced" and/or "sponsored" to find legislation that he actually worked on and/or proposed. Words like "supported" or "passed" are used to attach someone's name to another person's legislation because they simply voted for it. Just keep this in the back of your mind so you can differentiate between honest legislation and BS political filler as you read. In other news, I would TOTALLY vote for John Edwards. I mean, the dude can talk to dead people. For his Cabinet, he could call on the spirits of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, or even Ford! That link doesn't work. I'll wait for him to get past primaries first anyways, when it's his job to convince me to vote for him, if he gets out alive, anyways. My main point is, the guy came out of nowhere with little relative history to anybody else even rumored to be interested. I understand, everyone's sick of republicans right now, minority candidates are awesome, etc., etc. But, I wonder if this guy isn't just some snowballing media hype and if this isn't based on that stirring speech he made at the last huge democratic convention. I'm not saying the guy isn't worth a damn, he very well could be, it's just crazy the quick rise of this guy's fame.

    Iron Man

Huh. Weird she'd want to do something like this. I don't blame her, because she hasn't had a hit in awhile, but still kind of weird. I hope Iron Man can get the peeps in the seats if it's any good. I have faith in Favreau however. She did do 'Sky Captain' Yeah, I know, you think she'd learned her lesson.

  6. Anyone who doesn't vote on a dude because of his name doesn't deserve to vote anyways. You want to talk about an irrelevant and idiotic reason NOT to vote for somebody. That's it.
  7. I don't see a problem with it. Don't be an idiot.
  8. Yes, happy birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Happy Birthday! happy birthday. Werd.
  9. I'll be honest, I'd much prefer Hillary get the nod. He can be Vice President and establish his personality through that, but I don't want him being the main guy just because he has charisma.
  10. I don't know what to think. The guy came out of nowhere and I don't know where he stands on anything. I just want to know if he's more than a flavor of the month, etc.
  11. Charlie=Al Cowlings You know, I forgot/didn't know they had found f***ing socks with Nicole Simpson's blood on them at OJ's house. You want to talk about a classic way to screw up a trial? Christ.
  12. Just like Ohio State was the best team ever. Ooops. Your bad. Irrelevant. Best draft ever! Best. Draft. Ever! /troll
  13. You won't draft him in the 1st round, and if you do and you play him at CB he will be a huge bust. I am not sure what the fact that he has better hands then Hester has to do with him playing CB. It takes alot more then hands to play CB. He's not a CB, he is a WR. BEST DRAFT EVER! Best. Draft. Ever!
  14. Woo-hoo draft a guy who hasn't played corner since high school to play corner for you in the NFL. Again, you want him to be Devin Hester. "Maybe" he will be a CB, until then he will return kicks and punts. It's already been established he has better hands than Hester. I don't even know why I'm debating this with you. Because I could care less about your opinion. But, I HOPE we take Ginn in the first round and then I can poop all over your face while you smear it all over your chest and sing pour some sugar on me then taking the BM and placing it into your mouth so that it can find a way to make it to your brain along with all the other sh*t you have up there. /end of discsussion.
  15. Will Arnett, Jon Heder (who I could care less about), Will Ferrell and Craig. T Nelson. IT'S ON! Granted, this will probably end up like Talladega Nights and just be a watered down version of Anchorman on ice.
  16. Sweet, so you want to turn him into Devin Hester basically? No. Devin Hester sucks at WR. But, he's a helluva' journeyman positionwise and can play multiples. That's a lot of upside. If he's even available when we pick, which I doubt. I want to "turn him" into Ted Ginn Jr. You don't draft 4th WR/5th CB/KR/PR in the middle of the 1st round. That's awful value. If he is somebody's #2 WR, and a KR/PR then that's fine. Not when he meets a need at punt returns and cornerback. Do you not have reading comprehension? Bengals need a corner, if Ginn's the guy, he's the guy.
  18. Why would the Bengals take a WR in the first round? Because they take a WR every two years or so. Truth. They are idiots if they take a WR in the 1st round this year. Truth. Not really. Kelly Washington is a free agent. I think we could use a safety more than anything, it depends on if our needs can be met in later rounds... Here's the article from bengals.com a few weeks ago: AARON: Here?s my draft rule: As long as Carson Palmer is the quarterback, they must take a wide receiver in the first round every three years and the gong is ringing. I just don?t see them giving up on Henry, but the scary thing is he?s one more screwup from giving himself up and is the risk worth two big drops a game? Yet he?s so darn good, I see them sticking with him unless there?s a guy they just can?t resist. Me? They?re four years overdue, so I take the best wideout but I doubt they?ll do that. Wave goodbye to The Squirrel. Washington will come out of the winter and free agency with a lot of nuts. Perry said last month that he?s beginning to run on a treadmill and the fear that he?s got a Bo Jackson hip is gone. No one knows what they have in Chatman, or how he?ll bounce back from the groin injury. But they seem to like the pair from LSU, Bennie Brazell and Skyler Green. So next year the six could look like Chad, Housh, Henry, Perry, Green, Brazell. With Perry and Green you get your kick and punt returners. You?re right. A little early. Ginn can return punts and kicks as well, and, as long as he's a 4th WR he can have his dream of playing corner in the NFL (which he said he wants to do), and I think we'd use him in that way. So, he'd be a KR, PR, 4th WR AND occasional CB. Boi you sure know the Bengals!
  19. Why would the Bengals take a WR in the first round? Because they take a WR every two years or so. Truth.
  20. If Ginn is there when the Bengals pick... He will be a Bengal. And then we will have the absolute sickest WR core of any team in the NFL. I can't even imagine lining up Chad Johnson, TJ Houshmanzedeh, Chris Henry and Ted Ginn in a 4 set. But, he'll probably go somewhere gay, like Pittsburgh or Baltimore.
  21. Meh, I was hoping to die in about 30 years anyway. I kind of wish there was some flotsam of space station Mir that just happens to come down on your house right now.
  22. I dont ask much in life.. all i ask is that i finish school, pay the bills, dont get an OWI or an STD and have my sports teams win. so please.. GO BEARS!! I really dont think ill be able to take a repeat from last years divisional game. What's an OWI? And, I'm of the opinion that the Bears are fake. I'm not trying to poop on your parade or anything, but I think they might be one of the WORST 13-3 team of all time. I'm seriously not hating. It's amazing, because they don't have a quarterback and yet won a large percentage of their games by three touchdowns or more. Then again, the Bears play in the NFC. I think until they play the Saints they have an easy road to the Superbowl because the Seahawks aren't the same team of a year ago, even if their players share the same names.
  23. I'm paying for my own. It's not too bad, but damn, I'll be paying it off well into my 40's. Me too, and it's been hell. I agree with you, but in some sense college is part of the evolutionary process. Not necessarily in that it makes you better than anyone else, but it definitely prepares you for certain things. Like eventually passing this crap onto your kids. I don't know about you, but I'm now 10 million times more prepared for getting my kids to college than my parents were (not that they weren't supportive, or any of that, they helped me all to hell doing whatever they could to get me into and through school). Because I don't see the American High School system as preparing anybody for college. And yet, I think if/when you have kids you'll be able to guide them and help them think and choose about a right path, while getting them prepared for all the bills and crap they have to face. Not to mention, if the kids want a useless major to help steer them in a better direction. I almost want my kids to get a job first, then force them into college. Because, if they're anything like me (not saying they will be; because they most definitely won't be if I'm thinking about this now), nothing will instill and ensure their going to school and working hard more than the thought of a sh*tty job.
