  1. Damn, Marisnick looks totally out of it.
  2. Ugh...extra innings again. With this battered bullpen.
  3. He actually settled down and gave up one run. I didn't say he pitched well this game, I said he pitched well after the first inning. If I told you after seeing the first inning that we would still be in this game and wouldn't have had to use our entire bullpen, that would have been a huge positive. Eovaldi is not an ace, by any means, but there's something to be said for a guy who can get his head out of his ass after a horrible start and provide his team with at least a few valuable innings afterwards. Yeah, you have a point. But I'm more likely to agree if we can somehow pull this out!
  4. But Stanton & Hits McGehee don't want it to be over!
  5. It's OK to hate Dunn...and Redmond for using Dunn Gee thanks for giving me permission for something I have been doing for years. LOL
  6. Marisnick is dumb but Redmond yet again should have challenged. What have you got to lose, I hate this. Exactly! I'm tell you, the way Redmond has been managing I smell a rat. A fat rat named Jeffrey Loria.
  7. Marisnick is an idiot. Please send him back down ASAP. And Redmond should have challenged; what did he have to lose? But then again, I think Redmond has been told by Loria to make sure they are under .500 at the Trade Deadline so he can sell off the players he wants to get rid of.
  8. I really shouldn't have said I hate Eovaldi. Because if that's true, what do I say about Dunn? That I Super-hate him? That I Over-hate him? Dunn has lost 4 games this year, that's four games where he took the loss, that is. He has actually lost more games than that, giving up huge hits that allowed the other team to win, but some other guy got stuck with the loss, not Dunn. He is terrible, and I thought the Fish were going to dump both him and Ryan Webb this off season. Instead they dumped Webb but gave Dunn another contract which goes to show just how stupid this team is.
  9. Yeah...he settled down and only gave up 5 runs. I'm sorry, this is a pitcher that was talked about as a possible #2 starter; I can't consider this a good performance. And now we have Redmond's favorite reliever, his "Dunner", to put the game right back in the toilet. Dunn has been garbage for a long time; a lefty who can't even get lefties out. If we lose this game, the season is following this game, right down the toilet.
  10. God, I hate Eovaldi. The mark of a good pitcher is not giving back the lead after your team battles back and gives you one. Eovaldi has done this crap numerous times; instead of getting tough with a lead, he often gets soft.
  11. NICE! Well, you called it when you said come back time. Just wish they didn't have to always come back!
  12. That's what I'm talking about! Tie game for the comeback kids!
  13. Alright Deitrich finally comes through! Let's go, Big G!
  14. Well, nobody can say anything about this team's heart; they fight to the end and never give up. And a lot of credit for that goes to Redmond; he obviously is a good leader and motivator. I just don't like his bullpen moves and substitutions.
  15. Uh...didn't a whole bunch of guys want Dietrich back because he was killing the ball in the minors? Well, Solano has been hitting better than Deitrich! Deitrich & Marisnick have been terrible.
  16. Well, the comeback kids strike again! Maybe they realize that losing this game will seriously hurt their chances of continuing to compete this year. Maybe they know Loria (and I believe Redmond too) would be happy if they were sellers at the Trade Deadline, not buyers. Whatever, go Fish!
  17. Comeback time? I sure hope so! That's the best thing about this team; they never give up!
  18. Nathan LOLvaldi They used the "his wife's expecting a baby/ just had a baby excuse" for like 4 games in a row. It doesn't fly anymore.
  19. Since Jose Fernandez got injured instead of stepping up, Eovaldi has stepped down, pitching one bad game after another. He had a decent start last week, but now he has gone back to being garbage. He desperately needs to develop a third pitch or he will never make it as a starter. Maybe his best move would ne as a reliever, who knows. But he has basically sucked ever since our Ace went down.
  20. Typical Eovaldi. Those who thought he would step up when Jose Fernandez got hurt were absolutely crazy. (I know, nobody over here thought that. Right.) Walks the lead off hitter against the best team in baseball, and then, because he is a two pitch pitcher that lives off his fastball, immediately gives up a mess of hits and before people have even taken their seats, the Fish are down 4-0. Lose this game and the season will start to slip away slowly but surely. If this team isn't at or over .500 two weeks from now they will be sellers at the Trade Deadline and we can kiss this season goodbye. Which Loria would love so he wont have to spend any money. Redmond will be happy because the team won't lose 100 games. The only unhappy people will be the long suffering Marlins fans who will probably see Casey McGehee, Steve Cishek, and possibly Stanton dumped at the deadline.
  21. Yeah, you guys all make good points too. Well, I'm outta here. Should have gone to the casino rather than stay home and watch this garbage. Once again, Redmond snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. That's 7 games by my count. Good night fellas.
  22. The thing is the players like Redmond. He relates well to them as he was a player himself not long ago. And he is probably a good motivator. But as an in-game strategist and bullpen manager, he is horrible.
  23. I agree with you. I know my heart sank to my stomach when I saw Gregg out there. They should have left Morris he was pitching well. Even though Cishek laid an egg in the 9th, it could have been different facing a different order of guys and with a lead. No question. Cishek is a much different pitcher with a lead! By the time he came in, all the momentum in the game had gone over to the A's. I don't blame Cishek one bit.
  24. His press conferences make me physically ill. Just once I would love to see him take the blame for his stupid moves instead of always blaming his players for "not executing".
