June 28, 201412 yr And we finally fall below 1 game under .500. I would rather just fucking lose 6-1.
June 28, 201412 yr And we finally fall below 1 game under .500. I would rather just f***ing lose 6-1. It's gonna be 3 under at around 4:30pm on sunday.
June 28, 201412 yr That's the spirit! LOL. The A's are better than us in every facet of the game except RF
June 28, 201412 yr Dumbest manager going. By my count that makes 7 games blown this year by terrible managerial moves. Whether it's allowing Marmol to blow two games, or taking out Morris tonight and bringing in Gregg without having Dunn ready for all the A's lefties in case anyone gets on, or not pinch hitting for Garett Jones in a tie game with a lefty pitching and the winning run on third, or letting Henry Rodriguez and Camineiro blow games, or not pinch hitting for Mathis with the game on the line...I could go on and on, but what's the point/ Loria loves him because he can pay him peanuts and Redmond is just grateful to have his first managing job. As long as he doesn't lose 100 games, he will be back next year, and the players are much better, so he will not lose 100 this year. Redmond has managed all year long as if the team is 15 games out in September rather than in a race. Always experimenting; "gee, let me see who I can try in the 8th inning tonight. Marmol? Gregg? Rodriguez? Aw, it doesn't matter. If we lose, no big deal. We'll get em tomorrow". That's not how you manage in a pennant race. In a pennant race you can't give away any games at all. They are all important.
June 28, 201412 yr Are you guys negative Nancy's or what? Cishek coughed up 4 runs and lost us the game, no one could have seen that coming. Greg also coughed up a run when we needed one more out to be in the 9th with the lead. There are more positives to take from this loss than negatives. Our starting pitcher went 3 innings and we had a abused bullpen to cover his ass yet we were still competitive. We also tougher up a few of their pitchers and forced their bullpen to cover 4 innings. We can still take a game in this series, or even the last two for that matter. Believe.
June 28, 201412 yr And we finally fall below 1 game under .500. I would rather just f***ing lose 6-1. We are two games under .500! By Sunday night it might be 4 games and you can kiss this season goodbye. They will start selling off players in July.

They are all important. I agree with you. I know my heart sank to my stomach when I saw Gregg out there. They should have left Morris he was pitching well. Even though Cishek laid an egg in the 9th, it could have been different facing a different order of guys and with a lead.
June 28, 201412 yr Sorry, still have the taste of a 100 loss season...gonna take a lot for me to think everything will come together when there are too many ppl on this roster that need to be replaced
June 28, 201412 yr His press conferences make me physically ill. Just once I would love to see him take the blame for his stupid moves instead of always blaming his players for "not executing".

Even though Cishek laid an egg in the 9th, it could have been different facing a different order of guys and with a lead. No question. Cishek is a much different pitcher with a lead! By the time he came in, all the momentum in the game had gone over to the A's. I don't blame Cishek one bit.
June 28, 201412 yr I hit quote before typing this I'm going to send you a PM so we can figure out why it isn't working for you.
June 28, 201412 yr No smile from Redmond tonight Took him long enough. I also blame Marcel Ozuna for quite possible the dumbest fucking play you can imagine. 2-outs and the runner would have gotten to 2nd maybe 3rd and he dives and the ball gets by him. Grow up already you fucking idiot (Ozuna).

June 28, 201412 yr The thing is the players like Redmond. He relates well to them as he was a player himself not long ago. And he is probably a good motivator. But as an in-game strategist and bullpen manager, he is horrible.
June 28, 201412 yr Yeah, you guys all make good points too. Well, I'm outta here. Should have gone to the casino rather than stay home and watch this garbage. Once again, Redmond snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. That's 7 games by my count. Good night fellas.
June 28, 201412 yr We are two games under .500! By Sunday night it might be 4 games and you can kiss this season goodbye. They will start selling off players in July. It does seem that's the way this season is headed ......and the Marlins will continue the longest streak of non-playoff years in the NL. But hey they'll only lose 90 this year and Samson will tell us we're whiners and bad fans and that they're trying their hardest to put a good product on the field and we're just impatient. Yet every other ownership INCLUDING THE CUBS has managed to put their team in the post-season - many multiple times - since 2003.

Just a flurry of winning players and people on that team. Champs in 2010 and 2012
