And we finally fall below 1 game under .500. I would rather just f***ing lose 6-1. We are two games under .500! By Sunday night it might be 4 games and you can kiss this season goodbye. They will start selling off players in July.

6/27 Post Game Thread.
Dumbest manager going. By my count that makes 7 games blown this year by terrible managerial moves. Whether it's allowing Marmol to blow two games, or taking out Morris tonight and bringing in Gregg without having Dunn ready for all the A's lefties in case anyone gets on, or not pinch hitting for Garett Jones in a tie game with a lefty pitching and the winning run on third, or letting Henry Rodriguez and Camineiro blow games, or not pinch hitting for Mathis with the game on the line...I could go on and on, but what's the point/ Loria loves him because he can pay him peanuts and Redmond is just grateful to have his first managing job. As long as he doesn't lose 100 games, he will be back next year, and the players are much better, so he will not lose 100 this year. Redmond has managed all year long as if the team is 15 games out in September rather than in a race. Always experimenting; "gee, let me see who I can try in the 8th inning tonight. Marmol? Gregg? Rodriguez? Aw, it doesn't matter. If we lose, no big deal. We'll get em tomorrow". That's not how you manage in a pennant race. In a pennant race you can't give away any games at all. They are all important.

Oh, of course, I fully agree with you there. Morris, while not nearly as good as he's been, is a lot better than Gregg. Hell, a pitching machine can probably put up similar number to 2014 Kevin Gregg. You and me are on the same page, brother. This SUCKS!

Honest question... Do you guys think that the FO has any clue on how awful a manager Redmond truly is? Or do we know triple what they know about baseball... Hell, are they even watching the games anymore? This is getting just flat out ridiculous. There's only so much more of this that my brittle heart can take. As long as he doesn't lose 100 games they're happy. He's cheap; very low salary, and grateful to have a job. Just the way Loria likes it.

No he hasn't. He's been getting away with deep fly ball outs that make his numbers look only slightly below average, but he's been way luckier than he's been good. His ERA is over 5. That's not an 8th inning guy, and really shouldn't even be a Major Leaguer. You're missing the whole point. I wouldn't care if his ERA was 0 (his ERA before tonight was not 5 BTW). Morris was pitching great. He just pitched an 8 pitch 7th inning. Gregg should never have been told to pitch the 8th. And when he got in trouble, Dunn should have been in.

Since this game has become the baseball equivalent of a diaper threatened with Taco Bell, can we start taking bets on post game transactions? My pick: -DeSclafani to the DL (or optioned if his injury isn't too bad) -Jennings up from AAA. Jennings is a horror show too. So is Dunn, but once that first lefty got a hit off Gregg, there was no reason not to have Dunn ready to come in to pitch to one guy and get the last out in the 8th. Redmond is a moron.

Now I'm outta here. I wouldn't be surprised if Redmond was told by Loria to get swept this weekend so that all this talk about spending money at the trade deadline gets squashed for good. They could be 4 games under .500 come Monday.

Honestly, did anyone in the universe think giving Gregg the 8th inning job would end well besides Redmond? I feel like even Gregg must have been surprised. He has been pitching well so far this year, but the point is that with Morris having thrown only 8 pitches in the 7th, there was no reason to bring in anybody to pitch the 8th! This idiotic thinking that you have to let each guy pitch only one inning is the dumbest thing I ever seen.

Should have gone to the damn casino. But with a 5-4 lead I thought we had a chance. I forgot just how moronic of a manager Redmond is. Now we have to suffer through another disgusting post game press conference with Redmond making his stupid jokes and smiling and saying it's all the players' fault for "not executing".

By my count this is the 7th game that Redmond has blown with his crazy moves.

Screw this. This is all on that idiot Redmond. No reason to take Morris out after only 8 pitches. He is becoming just like Fat Fredi Gonzalez with this moronic over managing. And with all those lefties coming out, how can he not have his "Dunner" ready just in case? First he overmanages by taking Morris out and then he under manages by leaving Gregg in to face all those lefties in a row.

Way to go Redmond! He's great at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I was changing, getting ready to go to the casino and boom, the Fish score 5 runs! So I stick around and sure as hell that idiot Redmond blows it again. First of all, Morris only threw 8 pitches in the 7th, so why bring in Gregg for the 8th? But with all those lefties coming up, why wasn't Dunn getting ready in case Gregg got in to trouble? Which he does of course and now it's 5-5. Should I have gone to the casino? If they lose, definitely. If they win, I'm glad I stayed.

lmaoo talk about WORST CASE SCENARIO Glad I made you laugh. Having followed this team since Day One, those are the exact scenarios that go through my mind, especially with this ownership. I hate Jeffrey Loria, and in my opinion he would be very happy if the Fish had to be Sellers rather than Buyers at the Deadline. That's who he is. He's cheap. Anyway, save your snarky stupidities for someone else; I can't stay to see what sort of brilliant answers my posts are going to cause you to vomit out. I'm going out to the Casino to play some black jack, see if I can make a few bucks and feel better, which I doubt is gonna happen. Listen, I hope I'm wrong about everything! I really hope they don't lose all these games and that they stay in the race. I hope they force Loria to have to spend some money. But having seen this team and this ownership in action over the years, excuse me if I ain't betting any on money on that happening. See you guys later.

Nice to see you made it onto the new software. How's it going? Why thanks, Admin. I didn't even know there was a software changeover. Too bad the fact that I made it and the best guys did not. What can I say? Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Of course the team has blown about 5 or 6 games due to Redmond's managing. This guy has not managed the team like he was in a tight division race. On the contrary, Redmond manages this team like it's September and they're 15 games out. His bullpen moves have been terrible, his refusal to pinch hit for Mathis & Jones in game tying or game winning situations, his clue-lessness when it comes to late inning defensive substitutions...basically Redmond has managed like "losses are no big deal. We'll get them tomorrow". He knows Loria won't fire him because A) his salary is very low and Loria is cheap and B) the team is much better than last year so he won't lose 100 games again. In fact if they lose "only" 90 games this year everyone will say Redmond did a great job!

Hey fellas; I'm sure you guys missed me. Not. Well, that disaster yesterday might be the turning point for this team, in a bad way. That clown Baker's inability to simply pick the ball up off the ground led to 14 innings of frustration, destroyed the bullpen, and put the Fish a game under .500 with Oakland coming in for three games. If they lose this game (and it ain't looking good) the pressure is on Eovaldi & Heaney to win the next 2 games to get them back to .500. If they lose both of those games they will be 4 games under .500, and I don't see them getting back to .500 before the Trading Deadline. Which of course means Sell Off time around here: good bye McGehee, possibly good bye Cishejk, and maybe good bye Stanton too. All because of Jeff Baker not being able to pick the ball up.

You have 2 options. Continue handling this the way you are or join in/enjoy it. I suggest option #2. I have two options? I'm the one offering to meet you guys half way, but you want to put it all on me? You can go go to hell, then. If everyone feels like you, then we got nothing to talk about.

Should have Yelich back on Friday, nice win tonight No doubt, that was huge, Admin. Now tomorrow's game is also big. Going home to face Oakland would be much nicer at 1 game over .500 rather an a game under!

Anyway, you guys ready to bury the hatchet? (Not you, Piazza; I know you're waiting for me at Winn Dixie. The only problem is I shop at Publix, LMAO). Can we go on without the insults and just be Marlins fans? Or do we keep the war going? (Thanks for the directions, Erick. I was wondering where everyone went, LOL)

Well, that's it. I propose we call a truce with the freaking insults until Cishek nails this one down. After he gets the save we can go back to calling each other too old, too young, whatever. This is too important damnit! LOL...
