  1. 10-game homestand here. Important they go above .500 on it. 2 series against division foes as well.
  2. Crazy how good Otto looks as a hitter. That's probably a double on review.
  3. Wheeler's second start not first. Still need to work the count and not let him go deep.
  4. Big series at home against the floundering fillies. The big EUnit going up against Zack Wheeler who is returning for his first start. Methinks, Wheeler won't go too deep and the Filly bullpen is as shaky as the Marlins pen has been. It is Kentucky Oaks day but let's hope this set of Fillies goes down. Time to wreak havoc on the basepaths with Realmuto out and march to .500 and beyond. Will be keeping one eye on the Jacksonville-Durham game as well as "Big Rob" Robby Snelling is on the bump for the Camarones Gigantes.
  5. He has a rough series in the field. He is usually pretty solid and has good range for a ss. His bat has been spectacular this year so far.
  6. Just finished replay. Solid start by Sandy. Esteury Ruiz with the big knock! and Liam Hicks still looking like Babe Ruth at the plate. Faucher with the blood pressure spike save. 3-3 road trip. One game under .500. and back home. I guess Bendix and Clayton will survive another day from the reactionary crowd.

  8. Fairbanks to IL, lefty Cade Gibson called up.
  9. Good win. Look forward to returning to dodger stadium in October and knocking them out of the playoffs.
  10. Tough loss.. interesting to see the nature of Fairbanks injury and if he misses time who replaces him.
  11. The Giants are the polar opposite of the Marlins. They have a bunch of old guys declining in performance by the day on ridiculous contracts. The Fish have young, improving guys that are on bargain-basement deals.
  12. big west coast swing here, also the annual blackout of the games for me not eh MLB package. if we can go .500 against the Giants and Dodgers, we have the next 10 at home a long with some interdivision play. Time to chip away at the Braves lead.
  13. Wait until you see William Kempner's numbers, lol. Actually, Jacksonville might have a better rotation than Miami. T. White, Snelling, Braxton, Dax, and Gusto or Sandy, Eury, Max, Paddack, and Junk. You could even argue their bullpen is better as well: J.White, Ekness, and Kempner all look scary.
  14. Somebody should steal his catchers mitt and never give it back. I was urging them all winter to give him reos at first. He should have spent the entire off-season practicing first base. He could be a poor mans pujols there. Every time he is in the lineup at catcher, we basically start a run down. That is not acceptable nor will it change.
  15. I would call it reckless not aggressive. Dumb fits too. Frustrating as they worked on this all spring.
  16. I'm ready for the Braxton/Paddack swap. We all are.
  17. clever title.
  18. Solid bullpen outing, especially by a couple guys who have been struggling. Flip the M.
  19. Boneheaded play after boneheaded play. Indefensible.
  20. Tying run on base, get picked off behind him. Dumb, dumb, DUMB!
  21. Well looks like Pauley headed to the IL. Guessing Stowers up for him. Fixes one part of the roster crunch. Norby/Sanoja/Jimenez at third. DDLS/Norby/Hicks at first.
  22. They are both tied up through 2030. Both will be over 30 years old at that point. Zero reason to sign them to extensions.
  23. Snelling 6ip, 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 9 strikeouts tonight so far. Disagree that these guys aren't better than Paddack and Junk (and Eury right now for that matter). Snelling and Garrett up. Paddack and Junk to the pen. Thomas White up not long thereafter. Rotation strong, bullpen stronger. Next fix, 1b and catcher. Move Gus to 1b for Peter Bendix sake. Bring Mack up in May. Norby back to third. Stowers also back next week. Call up Esteury Ruiz? Pauley, Heriberto to AAA. DFA Slater. Peterson DFA and/or to AAA. Use the 8-man rotation as long relief/short starters. Now we are cooking.
  24. just sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. Not one hard hit balls this inning and the Marlins are committing seppuku.
  25. Always difficult to hit a guy you have never seen before with no book on him.
