  1. I might be wrong here, I thought Jose Guillen signed a 2-year deal. So if we trade for him and he turns out to still not be the greatest guy in the clubhouse, we could just let him go after the season.
  2. any questions?
  3. The idiot who mentioned that we're not true fans because we don't think the Marlins have a realistic chance at winning the Wild Card needs to end his life.
  4. The season is over. There's no pessimism. We're in 5th place and 4.5 back. It was fun while it lasted. I'm still watching the games and hoping both Lowell and Cabrera get to 30 homeruns soon.
  5. well when would you have brought someone in? before facing Alou? 552200[/snapback] tonyi would obviously have had him pulled after the first ball he threw.
  6. Ogunleye is an above average pass rusher, don't let him leading the league in sacks fools you. If you're talented, it shouldn't be too difficult to rack up double digit sacks when Jason Taylor is always getting double-teamed. Now I'm not saying that Gordon will be the next Ricky Williams or that Marty Booker is the final piece to a championship puzzle. What I'm saying is that our offense was terrible and needed to be upgraded, while our defense is stacked so we could afford to lose Ogunleye.
  7. NO WAY!!! I just heard a rumor that Brad Penny might not be on the Marlins next year!!1
  8. You could've said all that, Ninja, in one sentence.
  9. I just got the call too. I've never won tickets before either.
  10. They just said that Easley is starting. Choi is gone.
  11. I agree.
  12. The count goes even for Jeff Conine at 2-2. Full count. Conine is able to check his swing and walks. Runners on first and second with 2 outs in the top of the 1st.
  13. Miguel Cabrera quickly falls behind in the count 0-2. He pops the ball up and Sledge catches it for the second out.
  14. With runners on 1st and 3rd without anybody on, Mike Lowell steps into the batters box. The count goes even at 2-2. He fouls off the next two pitches. Full count. On the eight pitch of the at bat, Mikey strikes out. Double steal, Jose Vidro throws home instead of trying to tag Castillo and JP is safe. Marlins 1 Montreal 0
  15. Tony Armas starts off Luis Castillo with 3 straight balls. Louie will definitely take one pitch, maybe two. After delivering the first strike on Castillo, Armas throws over to first. Luis Castillo flares the ball to short center and it drops in for a hit. Juan Pierre makes it all the way to 3rd.
  16. Good to be back. Juan Pierre fakes a bunt, but takes the pitch for a ball. He then rips the ball to right field for a single.
  17. Dontrelle gets ahead of the batter now 0-2. Lets hope it doesn't end up like the last at bat. Richard Hidalgo rips a single to left field.
  18. Looking good this at bat, Dontrelle Willis gets ahead in the count 0-2. He misses with three consecutive pitches, full count. Spencer hits a ball deep to left field. Jeff Conine jumps and just misses the ball. Three-run homerun for the Mets and the Marlins fall behind early yet again.
  19. Piazza is walked. Now runners are on first and third with 1 out in the first.
  20. Kazuo Matsui grounds out to first. Jose Reyes advances to third base.
  21. Bad throw, Jose Reyes steals second base.
  22. Your mom is a moron. Fight childishness with childishness is what I always say.
  23. Jose Reyes hits a ball foul down the third base line that nails the umpire in the elbow.
  24. Kazuo Matsui throws out All-Star Mike Lowell.
