Concerns for 2005!
Yeah, the starting pitchers are my concern also this year. Even though we add Al Lieter, but got rid of are two best pitchers last year Pavono and Benitez not to mention Penny. Well I guess you have to sacrifice to get new talents. I just hope we don't get rid of Cabrera that kid is just going to keep on getting better. he reminds me of A-Rod or Juan Gonzalez. Does anyone know how much long his contract is? They should extend it soon.

Who has the best 3, 4, 5 in NL East?
I think were looking at the 2005 world champs if the pitching is good.

Conine or Encarnacion
Conine is much better than Encar. I think they should trade him.

Juan Gonzolez
I was just reading an article on ESPN.COM and saw the following: Cleveland also has had preliminary talks with outfielder Juan Gonzalez on a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Gonzalez, who had one of the best seasons of his career for the Indians in 2000, was limited to just 33 games last season with the Kansas City Royals because of lower back problems. Gonzalez made $4.5 million in 2004, but would have to settle for an incentive-based contract with the Indians if he makes their roster. In his only season with Cleveland, Gonzalez batted .325 with 35 homers and 140 RBI. My question is this, why don't he Marlins make a run at Gonzalez, sure he's been inconsistent with his health, but a one year incentive loaded contract is virtually a win win situation for the fish. He's got a cannon and the potential for a really big bat to take some time from 432-Juan. Just curious what you guys think. 649500 Your right I think it would be a win win situation. I know he has alot of problems with injuries, but anyway I say we go for him. Just for a one year deal and see how it goes from there. Plus, now they should have the money to pay him with Pavano and Benitez gone. Does anybody know what there going to do with Juan Encar? I hope they get rid of him.

2004-05 Free Agent Tracker
I would look at these players if I were the Marlins, Rafael Palmeiro, Pedro Martinez to replace Carl Pavano, Juan Gonzalez to replace Encar, and Carlos Delgado. 581076 Not bad.. Now why dont you lend the Marlins about $50 million and we'll get all 4 along with re-signing Carl Pavano. 581081 I didn't mean get all those players. I was just saying that those are the hottest players that are free agents, and I would really look to get one or two of them. If they were to get one player they should get Carlos Delgado, but if they want to get two players they should either get Palmeiro and Pedro, or Juan Gonzalez and Pedro, or Palmeiro and Gonzalez. That is what I meant.

Ship Encarnacion the funk out of here
Enc for Admin Walker... His autograph, that is. 571155 The fish would probably have to throw in cash. :plain 571174 So what, he is worth the money and if the Marlins don't have the money to pay then there stupid. I don't know why they don't get him during the trade deadlines, all the Cards gave up were minor league players. I was really mad that they did try to get him.

Season over
The Marlins season is definity over. I didn't expect them to get even this close, after getting rid of our two best hitters last year, Ivan Rodriguez and Derrek Lee. We might as well be the Pittsburgh Pirates with no name hitters, our best hitter is a rookie Miguel Cabrara. The only thing that got us this far was our pitching. I will keep saying this we need veteran hitters. I was so mad with the Marlins when they past up on getting Admin Walker. He would have been the key player we needed to get to the playoff.

If you could have ONE former Marlin back?
I would have to go with Sheffeld. Just take a look at were's he's batting on the yankee's he is doing much better than A-Rod. Also, he has the club record for the most homeruns and RBI's when he was on the Marlins.

Paul LoDuca...
Does anybody know How long Paul Lo Duca is going to be a Florida Marlin? I just was wondering because Ivan Rodriguez was only a Marlin for a Season. It just seems like the Marlins never keep anybody that is good, Just like what happen to the 97 Marlins, when they got rid of all there player's like Gray sheffeld and Alou. Every time we win the world series the same thing happens.

Who should the Marlins pickup?
yeah, your right I wasn't thinking about that. Well, I still think they should try to pickup those players next year.

Who should the Marlins pickup?
I still think the Marlins have a huge gap in the lineup, if it weren't for the pitching we would be in trouble. Lo Duca helped us alot, but we could just use one or two more player to help us get in the playoffs. Tell me what you think about these player's who I think would help us, Carlo Delgado from the Bluejays or Rafael Palmeiro from the Orioles?
