1. I think Clemens could want to come to Florida if he feels they have a legitimate shot at the championship. 785172 Sure and take over his 1 year $18M contract. We have enough problems trying to get a stadium, and besides the only team that he said he play for is either the Astros or the Yankees.
2. Easley is an amazing player not only offensely but defensely as well (not saying Castillo isn't either). It would be a shame with a player of his skills to be a bench player, just look at his stats there great. I agree with you he is better than Delgado right now in the clutch. So far, I'm rather disappointed in Delgado he has not come throught. The problem with him right now is his timing's off. He swings late and he doesn't have enough upper cut in his swing.
3. I say keep him out until he is completely healthy. We are still in May and I'd rather him get the injury bug out of the way now rather than in early and mid September when we are trying to make a playoff run. 780120 I agree it's better now then later, and besides we are doing great with Easley in there. :thumbup
4. Is Castillo going to play tomorrow? If not I would like to see Dillion in there. Or he could play 3B and have Lowell sit out, so either Castillo or Easley could play the 2B position.
5. Yeah!!!! we found our new 3B men. Congrats Joe. 779325 :chair Mike Lowell ain't going anywhere! 779335 What do you suggest they do with Lowell? He is in a really bad slump. I think they should put Dillion in and let Lowell sit out for awhile, so that he can clear his head. 779341 :slap If you have been a Marlins fan since the beginning like I have then you know that players go through slumps and they evenutally come out. Since Lowell started playing with the Marlins in 1998 he has had a few of these slumps, and when he comes out he is really hot. For instance in 2003 when we won the world series, Mike started the season 8 for 72 and by the All- Star break he had 28 homers. If you just give him time he will come out of the slump. 779357 Your obviously a hardcore Lowell fan and that's great, but I would really like it if they would give Lowell some time off and let Dillion play to see what he can do. I have been a Marlin fan since they first debut, just like you. :thumbup

7. Yeah!!!! we found our new 3B men. Congrats Joe.
8. Wow! he's there I thought jack said that they weren't going to use him until we got home.
9. yeah, they said that he's going to start when they get back home.
10. When Luis Castillo comes back, Dillion should move to 3B and sit Lowell out, or send him down to AAA for little while like what the yankees were going to do with Giambi.
11. I feel bad for our pitchers, because our lineup hardly ever gives them any run support. Something has got to happen and I think the problem is the hitting coach, he has got to go. We should have sweeped them not the other way around.
12. I blame Bill Robinson. I think it's about time to get a new hitting coach.
13. I'm not saying anything 773284 I'll say it for you: this is all Bill Robinson's fault. 773731 I was just thinking about that. We have got to get a new hitting coach, and I mean NOW!
14. Do you think there would be any chance of trading him? Because he is really effecting this team his depression is rubbing off on our players. I see him when he's in the batters box he just seem like somethings bothering him. The game last night was horrible I don't know what Jack was thinking putting lowell in the 5 spot. I know he what's to believe that lowell can pull throught this, but the way the lineup was before we were winning almost every game.
15. There is a serious problem with our offence nobody can produce any runs for our pitchers. Can somebody please tell me what's going on with Delgado? I wonder if he took roids when he played for the Jays. I know this is a different league and he doesn't know any of the the pitcher, but when Beltran came to the Astros from the Royals he did seem to have any problem. :mischief2
16. I think that JP and Lo Duca would be a great 1 and 2 hitters and then I would put Castillo further down in the lineup. This is what the lineup should look like. JP Lo Duca Delgado Cabrera Encar lowell Castillo Gonzalez
17. the solution to this prblem is Ichiro, available or not, we need to find someone to plug in the 1-2 holes for now, then when castillo and pierre turn it around, we can place em in the 5th hole where a contact hitter should always be. I don't know about Pierre's or Castillo performance the last two games, but am speaking based on the games of before, they might be doing well but are no threat like they were in 2003 and not even 2004. Guys we need to do something fast, what would others suggest maybe? 745189 What do you think about Soriano from Texas? He would be great on the Marlins. I just looked on MLB website and found that Soriano only signed a one year contract with texas. This may sound a little crazy to some of you but this is what I would do trade Encar, Castillo, and Burnett. I would then put Conine back in left field and have Soriano play 2B. What do you think about that? That's if they would do that trade.
18. As of now I think we don't need to acquire anyone player wise. Coaching wise we need a new hitting coach. The key is to get the 3-4-5 hitter's going. Mike Lowell will be the key. Once we get those guys going we should be fine. We need to play a game that turns around the season, a game that will light a spark. The 2003 Marlins and 2004 Red Sox had such games. The team chemistry aspect I think is a non-issue. 745154 I agree we need a new hitting coaching. The 3-4-5 hitter's need to start performing better. I hope delgado is just in a slump right now and should get out of it soon hopefully. Lowell needs to stop trying to hit the first pitch that comes his and be more patent. Cabrara I don't really have a problem he is a really good hitter but his fielding needs to improve.
19. Nobody seems to be talking about how bad our offense is. The team chemistry is just not there I don't know if it has to do with the batting order or what but we need to do something and I mean fast. It's the same problem as last year we still have too many holes in the lineup. Anyway, does anybody have any suggestions about who we should acquire next?
20. Cabrera Delgado Lo Duca Castillo Pierre Encarnacion Lowell Gonzalez Burnett :mischief 744782 I like that this lineup would be better Pierre Lo Duca Delgado Cabrera Conine Lowell Castillo Gonzalez :thumbup
21. There's only one problem that I have with this stadium deal and that is the name changing part. If they change there name then there going to have to change the whole design and I like the design, its the coolest in baseball.
22. I also agree, pierre needs to improve his base stealing skills. In the first half of the season, last year he kept getting out because he would start running after the pitcher released the ball. In the second half of the season he was doing much better. He seemed to of read the pitcher better unlike in the first half. I thought Lo Duca was really good last season. He is a great substitution for pudge. We only had him half a season and he did some amazing throw outs that Redmond, and who ever else we had catching couldn't do.
23. I picked that there going to win the world series, thats if our pitching is good. I think pitching is the most important thing in baseball, then comes offense.
24. Chasecdt replied to a post in a topic in Miami Marlins
Well its questionable to say which he should play as a starter or a relief pitcher. I don't think of him being a set-up or closer. I say he's more like in the middle of starter and relief, because he plays up and down meaning sometimes he's good and sometimes he's not. He's still a rookie though so you can't tell how he's going to be this season. You can judge a player over one season.
25. I think that is the wrong move on the Cubs part , because there getting rid of the heart and soul of the cubs for a bunch of no names. I know baker and sosa were having problems, but I say put that behind you and move on. I feel sorry for the Cub fans. How many years has it been since they won a world series? well however long ago it was now just add another 10 or 20 years.
