Cabrera and Mota autograph signing
Feller is cheaper because you will also have to suffer through him telling you how great he is.....how he was the best pitcher of his time....blah blah blah.... If you think you like that sort of thing, ask about his book.... that will cure you of wanting to talk to talk to him....

Delgado Ad in Herald
I love that you all are willing to give him credit, but if the Marlins PR dept didnt write this, then someone in his agents office did. I give him credit for signing it....and it is a great move by whomever thought of it. The Marlins management is trying to jumpstart ticket sales...thats all this is.... Delgado isn't a bad guy. He's really not, but thinking hes behind this ad gives him way too much credit.

D-Backs going after Burnett or Zito
Well, we all know Zito isnt going anyplace this year, not with the other two gone. AJ would be a great fit for the Dbacks, but and Webb would help with keeping Beckett. The Dbacks have amde a pretty big committment to now paying players to play for other teams, so the Vaquez thing isnt really viable, though I am sure he would like it being so close to home. Hairston is pretty damn good....and he fits into the Marlins style of play, but they wouldnt give up Webb and Hairston...so....this probably is not a fit...

Would Andre Dawson go in as a Marlin?
Dawson will be an Expo, both because his best years were there (or at least the place he had the biggest impact) and because the hall will want someone to represent the club and Andre's strong years there make him the one. Sheffield, well, I doubt he will be a Marlin....but its possible. It could also be possible, if he has a few more years in pinstripes like last year, that, well, you know where I am going...

Funny thing on espn.com
Actually Fellas, the rules for ROY and for service time are different. For ROY he needs to have a certain number of at-bats to be eligible. For Service time it goes by complete years, 5. If a player is called up midseason then the clock starts ticking then, but he will not reach the 5 year point until the end of the year in which it rolls over to 5 years. This is a great question though, and I know the difference is becausethe rules for ROY is set-up by the writers association, and terms of service is a union issue.

Hey! New guy here, finally, I can talk baseball...
Al is from Jersey and still lives there....if he moves to the booth it would probably be as the alternate to Seaver with the Mets...Seaver does fewer and fewer games now and Keith Hernandez isnt cutting it.....He also wants to run for office back here, so I think he would hit the booth here when its time.

Another "Would You Do This?"
Whoever pointed out that the Yanks wouldnt do this is the only on thinking it through...As much as the Yanks would lov to rid themselves of Brown's attitude and contract Conine and Encarcion only create more problems. They are only looking at Tino because he is a popular choice for backup, he would make both the captain and the fans happy, and maybe make them forget about Giambi's "mistake". Vasquez on the otherhand is a far more consistant pitcher than AJ. I like AJ. I heard Peter Gammons once say that when hes in the strike zone he may have the most unhittable stuff in the majors. But that is a big if, and the Yanks are not looking ffor if's in their pitching staff. You also don't want Brown and Leiter in the same clubhouse. They will stir up too much bad blood for the manager, even if its Jack.

A.J. off the block according to his agent
AJ really does like south Florida, and doesn't like NY....of course Money can do a lot, but so can a GM making a player feel appreciated. Pavano had grown up a Yankee fan, and his family wanted to see him pitch for the Yanks so that, of course, makes the Yankees money look unbeatable. If they try to sign him soon, that will count for a lot. Anyway, check out http://lovemyteam.com

B.K Kim to Marlins?
Benitez wasnt good in NY because he is not a big game pitcher....the Florida fans are more easy going and thepress doesnt add the pressure that the media in NY does...Kim's problem isnt the same. I think it is psycological for the most part, and perhaps with different influences he could overcome it. The NL east would be a better fit then the AL east anyway...Boston would gladly eat his contract I expect...because they really really dont want him.
