December 31, 200421 yr Andre is my favorite player ever.. he is the reason I became a Marlin fan. He had his best years as an Expo but he has said numerously said that he enjoyed Chicago the most and will go in as a Cub... he even took less money to go to the Cubs... the fans treated him like a saint and Andre absolutely loved Chicago fans.. And he should 100% be in the HOF. He shouldn't be penalized for playing in Montreal and then playing with bad Cubs teams because he was one of the best players of his era... Great hitter, great power, great speed (before numerous knee surgeries), great arm, great defense.. a complete player. Rick Stutcliffe has said he was the best player he ever saw.. not to mention he is a 100% complete class act. I remember when I was a young kid, I sent him a baseball card in the mail and he sent it back to me signed wtih a personal letter along with it... I sitll have the letter too... My shrine of him is pretty ridiculous. Great player.. but yea, he will go in as a Cub... no doubt about it.

January 4, 200521 yr Dawson will be an Expo, both because his best years were there (or at least the place he had the biggest impact) and because the hall will want someone to represent the club and Andre's strong years there make him the one. Sheffield, well, I doubt he will be a Marlin....but its possible. It could also be possible, if he has a few more years in pinstripes like last year, that, well, you know where I am going...
January 4, 200521 yr Wasn't this a big deal not too long ago with Dave Winfield? It would be like asking Roger Clemens which team he would go into the HoF with? He won a championship with the Yanks, but will more than likely go in as a Red Sox. Same thing applies here.

The reason why they don't let the players pick anymore was because players were getting paid off to go into the hall with teams. THe Padres paid off Dave Winfield, the Rangers paid off Nolan Ryan, and they put an end to that after the Devil Rays paid off Wade Boggs.
