  2. OOMMGGGGG HE'S THROWN ALL 1ST PITCH STRIKES CAN U FREAKING SWING AT THE BAALLL!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus! That sort of thing is for the second time through Youre giving this pitcher more credit than he deserves. i think they want to see the junk pitches a little more plus...more pitches= getting to the delicious braves bullpen sooner

  4. i actually think we should be investing more in gizmos and less in terms of having a standing army(military indsutrial complex anyone?)... Gizmos are the foundation of the MIC. The more sh*t costs, the more pressure applied to the Congress to get them bought. BTW: I didn't like this plan when Rumsfeld put it forward year ago. the alternative is having more body bags coming home...and that is worth a hell of alot more than green denim paper First, pick a side on an issue. Second, restrict yourself to things you have a clue about. first, LEARN TO READ second, LEARN TO COMPREHEND third, id be disappointed in obama if he doesnt manage our defense spending better...but id be more disappointed if he wasnt living up to his campaign promises and showing great diplomacy with the other countries of the world
  5. people still care about boxing?...i had no idea...saw some sportscenter highlights real quick though...winky got wailed on

  8. i actually think we should be investing more in gizmos and less in terms of having a standing army(military indsutrial complex anyone?)...that way we can cover as much territory as we do currently without the need for having a military base a stone's throw from each other all over the world take the money saved by not having bases everywhere(or at least share the rent costs of these places with NATO and UN troops) and put it towards various other local projects or educational resources for our diminishing school systems
  9. sounds good until he starts playing badly...oh golly batman, how terrible
  10. OMG...someone doesnt like the United States...stop the presses!!!

  13. Well, the PBP needs to write something. Exactly. This is all pointless bullsh*t. Stick a fork in it. It's absolutely stupid to assume that the bonds won't get sold. And the activists who claim that the deal was negotiated in private have no evidence it was. They would have to be insiders to really find that out. If, in fact, the deal was done in private, they would have to prove that important decisions were DEFINITIVELY made at those private meetings and not at the commission votes. Therefore, they would have to identify specific important decisions that were made at these private meetings. Because I doubt they have these even if the deal was done in private, this lawsuit goes nowhere. And as for Braman, he is wasting his time. I thought I heard somewhere that he is on his third appeal notice, which means his second one was ignored or thrown out immediately. Like I said about Braman's appeal: Why would the court hear a case which higher state courts already heard? Also, why would the courts hear a case that was decided based solely on that other case which was held in the higher courts? What Braman's lawyers want to do is make the court hear the same case they had just heard just a few months ago, which was already decided. The Court is gunna see this as a waste of time since there was already precedence set on it... not once, but twice. Oh. And correct me if I am wrong. That other case (the one that Judge Cohen was waiting on to make her final decision) was already on appeal... right? If that's the case, Braman has even less of a chance. And I have no idea what's less than 0. many people's IQ's in relation to the topic at hand if i had to guess...
  14. the marlins changing their team name to the Miami Marlins just proves more that the prediction in the movie Back to the Future Part II is correct. Now all the marlins have to do is move to the AL and lose to the Cubs in the WS in 2015. For all who have never seen the movie, check this http://www.snopes.com/sports/baseball/bttf2.asp THE MOVIE TELLS ALL it would balance the league number of teams...good thinking though :thumbup
  15. question for everyone in this thread...do you think a bunch of guns or even a militia(s) would really overthrow our government? i dont It depends on what the government did to cause such public upheaval that most people felt there was a need to 'overthrow' the government. However, analyzing it from the viewpoint of past historical events around the world, the question is definitely yes. The population CAN overthrow a government through force. Especially if segments of the military branch of in the defense of the population. If the people of the US can't overthrow a tyrannical government, we've failed as a nation and as an ideal. i agree on the overall...ok say for example...the United States is hit with multiple mega natural disasters and our taxes are ridiculously high...so we have people with literally nothing expect the clothes on their back from a several fairly areas... do you think our military would segment and help the people or are we all screwed?...i tend to think the latter still

  17. Considering the events on which our nation was founded upon there is perhaps no value as inherently American as distrust in government. I believe Thomas Paine was right when he said it was the duty of the American citizen to protect his country from his government. To think this has to be accomplished through violence is incredibly simplistic. Not to mention ridiculously misguided. OMG....something we agree on...the more guns, the more violence in the world. period and end of story...there are other ways of doing things that dont involve caps and asses You don't agree with Penguino at all, except in the idea that violence is not always the answer. What some people need to understand is that violence is sometimes the answer. i dont agree with him at all except one thing...well that seems to make no sense....and out of curiousity...when are some examples when violence is the answer...im not picking...just wondering when you feel it is appropriate
  18. what are you guys using for difficulty settings aka sliders? my games are getting better but still hitting too many homers...hanely has 5 dingers and 3 triples in the first 3 games of my season...and while...yes...he is good enough to do that...id like to keep things a little more realistic
