Maybin has not looked good at all this year. I mean he has not really even hit anything hard. I wonder if hitting 8th has messed with his head. He hit that one double on opening day. I happen to dislike ESPN. They are all too smug and smarmy. Evidenced by the "sal the sports guy" ad, where ESPN suggests that they somehow provide a superior sports talk product by imitating and making fun of the local guy. They think they are smart and funny, therefore everyone does, therefore ESPN is God and they can freeze out NHL news because they don't carry those games. And now SportsCenter cares a great deal about NASCAR... gee, I wonder why... more white people in this country have cable and tv than ever before and enjoy watching cars go in traffic circles for hours on end? :mischief

God people, it's been 1 week. The first week it was "Wow, Hanley's not having any trouble in the three spot. He's really hitting well." yeah its the NBA...every year there are only 5 or 6 teams each year with a realistic shot...especially if the trading deadline was as dead as it was this year...GO HEAT!

im really happy our defense is throwing the ball around like we saw the nats do today a bit today...i think not having a butcher at 1st and at third 3rd has helped our overall start quite a bit... it also helps playing the nats as much as we have...but i believe the nats were fairly close to .500 team minus having to play us last year...so we really have to have andrew miller look sharp and beat another team off to a good start...but we always seemingly play lousy in the burgh...i hope that changes this year

i didnt hear the comment about EB during that broadcast...but Dibble does nothing but gush about the marlins on XM radio...and the more i listen to him on XM, the more i like him... i think as a Nats broadcaster, he has 2 big things working against him...he calls it like he sees it and they are a terrible baseball team...which means he is forced to talk down other teams while talking up the nats...thats his job with them...if you all could listen to how he thinks about the marlins organization on XM, that is where you see his true feelings about us...he mentions all the time how the marlins have a great starting staff that would be great at basketball too... also...he tried to make a comeback with the marlins back in the day...talks all the time about how much his arm hurt when he would throw BP and hit Bob Nadal in the back with a 90 mph'er

i think the braves have a pretty good lineup...that said...in this game...aside from the offense spraying hits everywhere...i loved what i saw from andy miller tonight...i know he had a tough 5th...but you could really see why he is so good and just needs to find that groove and build confidence in his ability to control that strike zone ps...good job bullpen...i hope we catch a little luck with some of these guys...but then again...we, with our minor league depth can deal from a position of making an intelligent deal to make the needed stretch run
