April 10, 200917 yr Okay, I call my love of the Marlins an "issue". It controls my life. So, does anyone in your family have a Marlins "issue" (other than you)... parents, brother, sister etc?. My parents both have Marlins "issues" :lol . Whenever the Marlins do something good my mom will call me and say "CANTUUU", "Did you see ____?", etc.

April 11, 200917 yr Living in KY I don't ever see Marlins fans. This is my only opportunity to talk to some.

April 11, 200917 yr Baseball is the greatest. Right? Today my faceboob status said "baseball makes life worth living"
April 11, 200917 yr Baseball is the greatest. Thank you very much, Captain Obvious! :cool I kid, I kid. Baseball is amazing. As for the thread, my Dad, Mom, younger Sister, and Grandpa are all obsessed. We text during and talk after every game, unless it's an ugly loss or something. Great family bonding. Erick - I think being raised by a Yankee fan explains the They don't really bother me personally, but I couldn't not take that wide-open opportunity. :thumbup

April 11, 200917 yr Also, any tips on how to get a somewhat-receptive fiancee interested? She sat and watched the 9th inning with me today of her own accord, so that was very nice but I want MORE. :whistle
April 11, 200917 yr Baseball is the greatest. Thank you very much, Captain Obvious! :cool Yea, what is funny/ironic is that I grew up in Miami, the home of the luckiest (I mean best) baseball franchise in MLB history, but I only discovered how awesome baseball was my senior year of college (long after both 1997 and 2003). Everyone else was lining up their job and planning out the rest of their lives, and all of a sudden I realized that spending 3 hours at the stadium watching an admittedly slow-paced sport with an endless supply of beer and peanuts is the definition of awesome.

I'm planning to go to law school in a year.............maybe there's some sort of correlation here :cool It may be slow-paced, but it's beautiful. There, I said it. And I won't even qualify it with a "no-homo". Clearly, you could not have gotten into law school unless you were intelligent enough to appreciate baseball for how amazing it is. If ever I'd believe in the generosity of a supreme being, it would be in the form of baseball as god's gift to mankind.

I can't believe Cole Hamels gave up 11 hits tonight.
