Fingers crossed for Long.

2025/26 Off-season
I don't get why middle infielder would be a need for us. Our current middle infield duo is pretty good and reasonably young. Then 3 of our Top 6 prospects are middle infielders. Get pop in this line-up no matter what position they play.

Caissie and Jonathon Long - 1B, and I'm ok with this. We'll see what it ends up being.

2025/26 Off-season
Yeah, I've been a big fan of Johnston over the years, but at this point I don't see it as a big loss. That being said, sign a fucking legit major league first baseman.

Gabe Kapler named General Manager
Yawn. This is a position that I guess wasn't filled last year, is that right?

Offseason Goals
I think everyone here knows that Alonso to us is not happening. If we were a real big league franchise, though, he's who we would be going after.

September 23-25 @ Phillies
Janson Junk was a big pleasant surprise this year. I had never heard of him before getting here. 4.17 ERA 3.15 FIP for the year 110 innings. He should definitely be in the mix for the rotation next year.

Third Baseman of the Future?
Hopefully they do everything they can to keep Arguette at SS. Even if we only get a couple years out of him playing decent defense at SS would be valuable.

Third Baseman of the Future?
Graham Pauley has better offensive numbers than Norby, and plays much much better defense. It's interesting that we're seeing mostly Norby at 3B.

Thank You.. I'll also add, Ramirez and Hicks are major league hitters. Joe Mack looks like he will be the heir apparent at the position. If Mack is catching you can utilize Ramirez and Hicks at DH/1B. A Ramirez that only starts 1-2 times a week at catcher and then plays in the field or DH is still extremely valuable. Edwards and Lopez are good hitters and make up an excellent defensive duo up the middle. Edwards' BABIP is not ridiculous this year at .325. Guys with speed will have a higher BABIP. A .700 OPS guy who provides awesome defense at 2nd is a starter in the big leauges. Not to mention the 30-40 steals he should provide. Another positive development is we have lots of options in LF. Hernandez, Johnston and Conine have a combined OPS around .785. Let them battle it out, possibly platoon them. I think there's a big league starter there. The Immediate Future Lineup's looking pretty good, but it has to be supplemented with veteran starters acquired either through trade or free agency C - Mack (Ramirez and Hicks spell him twice a week) 1B - Free Agent (Ramirez and Hicks get some time there, when 1B starter DH's) 2B - Xavier Edwards 3B - Free Agent or Norby, Pauley and Sanoja (FO has a decision here) SS - Lopez LF - Hernandez/Conine/Johnston CF - Marsee RF - Stowers DH - Ramirez/Hicks If I were the Marlins I go out and get the best bat possible. (That you can afford, but the payroll is so low that no one should be off the table, I know it's a pipe dream with this FO though)

Third Baseman of the Future?
Don't everybody answer at once.

September 19-21 @ Texas Rangers
What we've learned from this season: we are in pretty good hands with Bendix it seems. (And I've been a hater of his in the past) We haven't learned anything about Sherman, there is no indication that he's willing to throw down money on the actual roster, and if he doesn't all the positive developments that we've made this year will mean nothing.

Third Baseman of the Future?
The 3 guys in the majors all have similar offensive numbers this year. Norby's year has to be considered a little bit of a disappointment, I think the organization would like for him to grab the reins, but Sanoja and Pauley I would say have been very pleasant surprises. They are also both younger than Norby. When he was drafted I have to think the organization was hoping that Jacob Berry would have already taken over as the starting 3B at the big leagues and 3B of the future. His minor league career, I think you can categorize as a disaster, but he did show signs of life at AAA this season.

Agustin a catcher ?
They’ve hired like 100 coaches and 1000 Front Office people. Maybe those people can coach instead of calling up a AAA catcher to coach.
