Burial for me just cuz that's how my family has always done it. I don't think anyone in my recent family history has ever been cremated. I wouldn't want to be cremated but it's also just all I've known so I haven't really thought about it further than that.

How can they deny him if he's not under contract? Anyways if Espada doesn't get the Astros gig he needs to get out of there immediately. That was on the hitting coach side, he was supposed to some sure fire manager down the line as well. That could still happen yes but it seems like nobody mentions him anymore.

What a miss that guy was down in Miami. It was supposed to be a big deal when he was hired here.

Joe had an opt out clause with the Rays or something like that. Point being the Cubs don't care if you're under contract if they want to change their manager.

This is the second time in recent memory that the Cubs got rid of a manager under contract to upgrade to a free agent manager. That's pretty rare as it is. Most managers finish their contracts or are at least fired before a new guy is brought in.

This is bullshit jumping to conclusions. They can rebuild the farm without selling off the major league roster. Not once has Bruce Sherman given any indication of tanking in 2024. This is such a stupid discussion.

They offered him $5 million and he wanted $40 million. To say the Brewers should have met that is ridiculous. At some point you're just overpaying for nothing. Plenty of people can manage the Brewers on a more realistic salary than $40 million. Especially in an era where many don't think the managers matters all that much.
