Yeah id screw the O's also, way too damn cheap to ever get a deal done. And the part of them wanting to take Lowell out AND subtract Penn (main part of deal) is laughable. And if they wont do a 4yr/8mil deal than Burnett is a 2 month rental. I personally think they should trade him to the Red Sox.

Just so you know Moss is one of our top prospects. I would rank him at 6th in our organization behind the big 5. He also is a top 70 prospect in all of baseball and is 21 and hitting well in AA.

If the marlins dangled Vargas, a solid MLB ready pitcher and another prospect like Johnson they might bite. I dont know though really, it is all hearsay and guessing really. The Twins do this trade becuase they need offense. They have plenty of arms in the bullpen that trading Romero wouldnt hurt them, and getting a veteran 3B in Mueller that is an excellent hitter could really help them. They also clear 7.5mil in payroll by dumping Mays and then they get Millar who could also help their offense.

Also I think everyone is setting the bar way too high in trades. Trading for Burnett is one thing, but having a team take on a giant contract for the next two years really limits Burnetts value. The O's may be offering crap (except Penn and maybe Julio) but if a Arroyo and Mays for Burnett and Lowell deal came up thats probaly one of the best deals they could get since having Lowell really limits the number of teams interested and number of teams interested that would take on Lowells salary. Be reasonable your not getting Marte/ McCarthy, not Chachin, not Cabrera, and not Hanley.

For the last time THE RED SOX WILL NOT TRADE HANLEY RAMIREZ. Arroyo and Ramiez for Burnett and Romero, no. I might even be hesitant to trade Hanley for Burnett straight up thats how good he could be.

So far Mueller is in this deal so Youkillis would play 3B for the Red Sox and newly aquired Graffanino would take over 2B duties. Next year Pedriodia or Hanley Ramirez would take over 2B duties.

I dont even think Rincon is in here at all. The Red Sox would trade Millar and Mueller to the Twins for Romero and Mays. The Red Sox would then deal Arroyo and Mays for Burnett and Lowell so the deal would look like this: Florida Gets: Mays Arroyo Prospect/Embree? Boston Gets: Romero Burnett Lowell Twins Get: Mueller Millar

Im a big Red Sox fan and the last guy you want to see in a close game is embree. And just so you know embree is NOT a lefty specialist and never has been. Lefties are batting like .310 this season against embree and all he does is ruin games now.

Trot isnt a player you can just throw into a deal, it would be very tough to find a replacement that could come even near his production without giving up some top prospects. I healthy Trot is good for a .300BA/.380 OBP with 27HRs and 90 RBI, plus he plays solid defense, I doubt we would ever trade him.

Ok you guys are on crack if you think your getting Arroyo and Trot/Hanley for Burnett and lowell. No way that happens and I doubt Theo would ever consider moving Trot or Hanley, maybe trot but the deal would have to be damn good. The most Theo would probaly offer is Arroyo, Shoppach/Alvarez and Millar for Burnett and Lowell, so I think we can put the trot and hanley rumors to rest. Also Papelbon, Lester or Sanchez probaly arent being dealt either.

Beane is not gonna trade Zito, otherwise the O's could just trade Penn themselves in a deal for Zito.

I doubt the Red Sox are going to deal Hanley and especially not Arroyo and Hanley for Burnett and Lowell. When the Red Sox and Marlins talked about a deal in the offseason, the proposed deal was Hanley for Burnett straight up so theres no way him AND Arroyo are involved in the deal unless we get someone alot more talneted and cheaper than Lowell.

right now im hearing Burnett for Arroyo, Shoppach and Alvaraz. The Red Sox dont have much interest in Lowell.
