AJ is correct, so not so bad at it:) Ok that'll do for now I think, Annibal Sanchez has 8 K's through his first four innings, you can listen online here: http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...media/audio.jsp Link is about halfway down the list.

The key might be to goto the rookie ball team when it starts up and catch the best looking prospect early.

What was Hermida's first car? *FYI I am not stalking him* The fact that your knowledge of his cars includes knowing he has more than one would suggest otherwise:)

Quiz question
Bah first two get it right away:) Mike Jacobs' propensity for drawing walks has really made up for his low average, and is a very good sign that his numbers all round may improve in time.

Love for Dan Uggla.
Do you think he might have a shot at making the all-star game? I have a feeling nobody is going to vote for him . Yep its going to be tough for us to get guys like Uggla much all star recognition at this stage. Vidro and Utley will probably get the nod at 2B. With winning comes all star places, so hopefully in time:)

Quiz question
Excluding Hermida due to a lack of at bats, guess which Marlin has the most walks per plate appearance so far this season. Oh and dont just go and look it up:)

Love for Dan Uggla.
He also has the lowest strikeout rate out of our regular everyday players.

Strange and Interesting Lineup
We needed to split up the lefties. I think the hope is ultimately that Hermida hits his stride, and then fits into the 3 spot. That might not be for a while yet though, so we could see some interesting lineups till then.

Gammons on the Fish
As mentioned above, Dodgers catcher Russ Martin would make things very interesting indeed. Problem is, its very doubtful the Dodgers would part with him. When Martin has been behind the plate for the Dodgers this year, they have a 14-3 record. The deal i'd take for Willis if offered would be Martin, CF Matt Kemp, and Jonathon Broxton or Scott Elbert. I'd throw in Olivo to give the Dodgers another catcher. Doubt there is any chance of that coming to pass though. I would though be more than happy to keep Willis:) The only deal is if it packed with talent and hits all our needs. If the stadium deal gets done sooner rather than later I would expect Willis if he is still here to be taken off the market permanently, so he is ready for opening day at the new ballpark. I feel the need to add that Miguel Cabrera must NEVER be traded. Any deal involving Cabrera is a mistake, because the chances of us getting a player of that quality at that kind of position (3B) again in the next decade are slim and quite possibly none. With pitchers though its always different, as the chance of injury and performance slippage is far greater.

Edgar Gonzalez
Signed over from Mexico earlier this year, he is obviously too old to count as a major prospect at 27. Thing is though he is hitting really, really well at Carolina and playing both SS and 2B. Before tonight's game he was .377/.443/.623. Thing is most of all though, the following story tells of why he might be a late season callup, considering that we need someone to keep our brawling pitchers in line. http://www.newsobserver.com/732/story/439008.html

Gammons on boog
He also mentioned that Loria will probably raise the payroll upto 35 million next year. Thats still small relative to other teams, but as most of our players won't be getting pay increases next year, it would allow us to comfortably keep Miggy and Willis, and sign a veteran or two (if only to a one year deal).

5/20 - Citrus Series Game 2
Andino is well worth holding onto I think for the organisation, if Hanley gets any bigger physically he might need to slide over to 3B. Then maybe put Miggy at 1B. cbs says that was an infield single?? then how did huff score from second? Jacobs failed to come up with it at 1B, then lost track of where the ball was.

Why not go young in the pen?
With the amount of work the pen has to do currently, even though veterans like Herges arent helping us win, they are probably still worth using for now. If we put all our younger pitching prospects in the pen this early, the chances of burnout and possible injury are a bit too high for comfort. In a strange way we need to use the veteran arms just to eat up innings I think at this point. Then after the all star break we can trade/release the vets who arent worth keeping and give the younger guys their time.

Nic Ungs
We'll need to clear a spot on the 40 man roster for him, so at this stage of the season its more likely that guys like Vargas, Resop, Tankersley will come up. Once we get into the second half of the season, the veteran pitchers we have on one year contracts (if they havent been traded) may well become candidates to be waived/released to open up spots for guys like Ungs.

Hot off the press... Hermida update.
Unlike his prior appearances he played in RF instead of DHing this time too, so good news there. See, theres always cause for hope:)

Josh Johnson
Yep its certainly true that staying as a starter would probably be the best aid to his development as a pitcher. This is admittedly a somewhat knee jerk idea:)
