  1. I would go Lowell. Sox fans hate A-Rod in general and he is a natural SS. I see SS being Pedroia's for the long term.

  3. i wish we didn't have the bermuda triangle for that reason only
  4. Signs you know the Marlins' season is over: 28. Rich Waltz asks Tommy Hutton if Miguel Cabrera has a chance at 3,000 hits (this may also be a sign that Rich is a retard). yes, that does qualify as number 28 on both lists actually
  5. The thing that cracks me up is the f***ing tree huggers who harp daily over Hermida's errors in RF, but how many times do we see this trash. Passed balls, errors other then RF, balks....Unreal Olivo is in the Bigs afaik most people hate Olivo too
  6. Olivo isn't ready, a balk, and a wild pitch...ah ha
  7. and that's what you get for intentionally walking him!
  8. the rule is to start the thread the day of the game 1:33 am is Wednesday!
  9. 4 game threads in a row that don't have the actual game time in the topic title/description. This makes me sad. it's working right?
  10. Doug Davis, LHP (9-10, 3.81) Diamondbacks (67-53) @ Sergio Mitre, RHP (5-5, 3.64) Marlins (56-63) Scouting Report: D-backs: Davis pitched well once again Thursday against the Pirates, throwing his seventh straight quality start to get the victory. He gave up two runs on five hits in seven innings, with the only blemish being Jason Bay's two-run homer in the first on a fastball that caught too much of the plate. The homer prompted Davis to say once again he was "one pitch from greatness," as just one critical mistake has often hurt him during this streak. Still, Arizona has won Davis' last six outings, with the left-hander going 4-0 with a 2.66 ERA over that stretch. Marlins: In his last start, Mitre battled for six soggy innings and came out of it with a no-decision in the rain in Philadelphia. He gave up two runs and logged 99 pitches. The right-hander has won three of his past four decisions, and this will be his second start of the season against the Diamondbacks. On July 24 in Arizona, Mitre endured a loss, giving up seven runs on eight hits in three innings. Mitre has shown terrific control all season. He hasn't walked more than two in seven straight starts. 11. definently had a great time in 110 as usual. Sad to see Kim end up like he did, I don't know why, but he just isn't comfortable in Zona I guess. Definently this looks like a brand new team and De Aza is IMHO the next Hanley, and the best part is we didn't have to trade for this guy ever! I am definently looking foward to wrapping up my personal home season vs the Giants. I'll be at all 4 games!
  12. yea, I forgot my signs at home and i'm at the internship all day. I am going to try to make it out for first pitch, but even that seems doubtful today unfortunantly.
  13. That 2nd pitch wasn't a strike. LMAO. I think the ump expanded the strike zone too...no way that kid's 13...unless he's on the juice
  14. Tuesday, August 14 Dolphin Stadium | 7:05 PM ET Byung-Hyun Kim, RHP (6-5, 4.93) Diamondbacks (67-52) @ Dontrelle Willis, LHP (7-12, 4.98) Marlins (55-63) Scouting Report: D-backs: Kim pitched poorly Wednesday against the Pirates in his first start as a D-back in his second tour of duty with the club. He allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits in 2 1/3 innings, with one of the runs scoring after he left to boos with the bases loaded. Kim allowed the first six hitters in the third to reach, leading to three runs, after a perfect second. The right-hander said he didn?t feel good and did not have his ?100-percent stuff? in the no-decision. Kim had pitched well at the end of his stint with Florida, the squad he will face next, compiling a 2-0 record with a 2.60 ERA in his final three starts and yielding two runs or less in five of his last six starts with the Marlins. Marlins: Willis' woes continue. After giving up five runs (four earned) in 5 1/3 innings at Philadelphia on Thursday, the 25-year-old left-hander dropped his ninth straight decision. He is building on a career worst winless slump. Willis matched a season high by compiling 115 pitches in the outing. His last win was on May 29 at the Chicago Cubs. On July 23 at Arizona, Willis lost a 4-3 decision. He gave up four runs in 6 2/3 innings that game. The Marlins have lost six straight times with the D-Train on the mound. Now 65-51 in his career, Willis is Florida's all-time leader in victories and defeats. 15. Ok folks, this is not meant to scare anyone, but with TD 4 looming way out in the Atlantic, and a Marlins game scheduled Monday at 1:05, there is a slim chance things could get dicey. Right now the Hurricane center has the storm about 3 or 4 days away from Miami on Sunday (The last day of the cone), so my question is more or less IF a hurricane watch or warning was to be issued for South Florida, what is the protocall for the game? Like I said, it is EXTREMELY unlikely that this storm effects the game, but I was just curious as to what would happen in that case. Thanks
  16. I leave for Connecticut next Thursday...so here are your options, TD 4: turn away from Florida, dissipate, or don't hit the airport!
