It depends on how long he was drinking, but for someone his weight that's probably the equivalent of about 30 Bud Lights. If it were up to me, someone in Cabrera's position (if convicted) would lose his license for years. 30 bud lights...i've heard about people needing to be in detox rooms at the hospital after 30 beers.

UM blows. I don't want to see jacory harris at all next season Golden has a hell of a makeover to do. Jacory shouldn't see the field at all next season. What a disgrace that game was. ahhh welll look at this: "The Marlins asked for Martin Prado in exchange for Uggla and were told no, then shifted their attention to Infante, says a source" they definitely should have demanded prado or at least venters. one of the two. we basicall got the two back ups. i think infante would start on many teams. he's not that bad.

(awaiting pelting) i could gloat about how the braves just grabbed uggla, but i won't. instead, i'm going to talk about your new acquisitions. believe it or not, i think infante is actually a star in the making. his defense is solid, and an upgrade from uggla, something you guys need, and his offensive numbers towards the end of last season was good, and he could start everyday. i think he can actually be a decent starter for you guys. plus, you need pen help, and dunn isn't bad either. i smell setup guy. i'm going to get grilled for this, but i think you just improved your team slightly with this move. (i wonder if chip and/or ernie will carry the call for uggla though)

So with Pitt's loss, they are 5-4 and atop the Big East. If the season were to end, they would get a BCS bid. What a joke! All 8 teams still have a chance to win the conference. 8 way tie FTW! There's likely gonna be at least 3 or 4 teams tied. They probably have a tiebreaker involving poll rankings. What happens if nobody is ranked? the big east needs their bcs autobid taken away. no ranked teams in the conference and a top 10 team gets screwed so they get in? what a joke. 8-4 used to mean no bowl back before they had 500 bowls. they will likely get crushed in their bcs game. and this isn't a one year fluke, the conference has been for the most part mediocre since bc/vt/miami left. as for the autobid, make it another at large.

Also, anyone realize it's been 10 years since the Ankiel meltdown in the NLDS against the Braves? It's pretty cool that he of all people hits that bomb. i have, as i noted that he screwed us over 10 years ago in the playoffs despite the meltdown and sent us packing early that year. although i only heard things about the meltdown, and didn't actually see the game because of the stupid time the games started that year. now he makes up for that meltdown for a clutch home run in the water.

phew. that was a close one, but ankiel actually decides to help us in the playoffs 10 years after he ruined it...lol. but we have at least one series that won't end this weekend (trust me, the other three will).

sigh. this is why i'm not a huge fan of playoff baseball. the braves always seem to choke. 4-1 giants.
