I know a lot of these trades people are pissed about, but I got a chuckle out it actually being a quiz.

 

And this was made like a month ago so Uggla isn't on there....

Got 16/18 and I would strongly argue that two I missed are nowhere near "great". I don't want to include the names for spoilers.

A remarkable amount of talent has passed through this organization in its relatively short existence

2 of the ones I got wrong I genuinely didn't know, and 3 I knew but didn't consider 'great'

Preston Wilson was never 'great'. Nor was Ryan Dempster. Nor was Renteria. However, I missed Nenn, Hoffman, Santana, Dempster, and Alou

 

 

I only got 10/18, however I showed much better form on the 2nd half, getting 7/9. I blame the lack of knowledge on the earlier ones on the fact I didn't follow baseball till 2006.

Yeah that had me stumped as well, it's the only one from the second half that I didnt get.

Yeah but I dont process anything pre-1997 very well. I knew of it's existence, but it doesnt come to mind. I cant think of the 1993 Marlins like I could think of the 2001, 2002, 2003, etc. etc. Marlins.

He never played for the Marlins, he was a Rule 5 pick from Astros and in a pre-arranged deal with Twins, the Marlins had first or second pick in Rule 5 draft, recieved Jared Camp for him. Camp made it to the last days of ST in 2000 before the Fish decided to keep Brad Penny and Camp was returned to the Indians.

As for Gonzalez he never made it to the Majors with Marlins after being the Number One overall selection in 2000 draft, he was part of the trade that brought Urbina to Marlins in 2003

I think it's because Adrian Gonzalez never actually played for the Florida Marlins. He was a Marlins prospect. I don't know about Hoffman, but I'm guessing it's the same deal.
