    Stupidest Cop Ever?

I was thinking the same thing, haha. And she's likely clean...I mean, you still better put on a rubber, but porn stars get tested before every show to make sure they don't spread around STDs.

    2007 NBA Draft

Portland's going to be real good in a year or two... Was hoping Pheonix would get that pick. And HAHA Boston. Where did Memphis land? I was watching the Marlin game and don't see anything online.
  3. I agree that infield defense is more important but you can't neglect outfield defense, expecially with how spacious our ballpark is. And it's not like Boone has one crazy bat. He's been real good this year, I'm not trying to put him down. But he had a .677 OPS in 2005 and .684 in 2006. And it's not like they're small sample sizes, he had 511 and 354 ABs respectively. If he continues likes he's be doing: great, I'd love it. But realistically I do expect a drop off. I think he'll be better then he was the past two years, but not "This guy has got to be in the lineup even if it means killling our OF defense" better.
  4. I asked about Hermida in CF before and somebody mentioned something about his hips prevent it. I'm also pretty sure Willingham doesn't have a strong enough arm to play RF everyday. And Cabrera+Willingham in the OF...would have to consitute one of the worse corner deffensives of all time. Might aswell sign Alex Sanchez back to round it out. I'm all for that offensively, but got to remember deffensive issues. I wonder how Boone would do in LF though. I believe he bought a outfield glove this past offseason. He's lost a step, but I'm sure he could still cover good ground. Not sure how strong his arm is though. Not that I'm suggesting we replace Willingham with Boone, but when Willingham gets spelled, might be something that should be considered.
  5. I liked somebody's, I don't remember who, point of batting Boone behind Olivo. Basically if Olivo bats 8th, he's going to get breaking ball after breaking ball out of the zone and strike out everytime. With Boone behind him, he'll get more fastball and pitches he can hit.
  6. Maybe it's just that I don't feel sympathy for violent animals. Yes, it's the dog's fault they were raised for the sole purpose of fighting and killing one another. I have two dogs...one is one of the nicest dogs, who's never bit anybody (She's 14-15 years old). The other has some territorial issues, but he's not physically aggressive, just a mean bark. Both are german sheppards, who are known for being a "dangerous" breed. Dogs aren't violent animals, it's how they're raised and trained. edit: bah was beat to it
  7. Shop them first instead of cutting them...somebody's bound to take a flier on Harden and you should be able to get somebody better then what you could get off Waivers if you're in an active league. Could probably get something real good, considering he puts up Cy Young numbers when healthy. All depends on the people in the league though.

    RISP

I posted Hanley's numbers since going in the three spot in another thread...His numbers with nobody on is INSANE with Cabrera behind him, but with people on he has had only one hit. Maybe something like Hermida-Hanley-Cabrera would be interesting, so that Hanley is still protected by Cabs...But I'd rather him be leading off either way. If Hermida keeps hitting well, that should be enough protection.
  9. Just went through the game logs, here's Hanley's numbers since going to the 3 spot including today's game Runner on 1st: 1-6, CS, DP, HBP Runner(s) in scoring position: 0-6, 2K, BB, R None on: 8-14, K, 2B, 2HR, 5R, 2RBI, 3SB So with runners on, anywhere, he's hitting .083. With nobody on he's hitting .571 Small sample size, but still.
  10. I like how that guy ripped the bat from that kid's hands. Then when they got the bat back to give it back to Hanley, and were giving away a different bat, the bat went to the kids and the guy was like "what the f***"
  11. So great to see Hermida in form BACK TO BACK
  12. It's not just about majors...Anibal pitched 85.2 innings prior to getting called up.
  13. Yeah...it's not so much innings pitched, but the innings pitched compared to previous years. You don't want to quickly raise the workload. The only two pitchers where that happened was Anibal Sanchez (pitched exactly 200 innings combined MLB and AA...never pitched more then 78.2 prior. I'm getting nervous about him after seeing that) and Scott Olsen (187 combined MLB and AAA, highest before was 136.1). Ricky Nolasco (140 IP) had actually surpassed that twice in the minors (161.2 in AA 2005, and 149 in A+ 2003...though both of those were with the Cubs, pitching killers). Josh Johnson also pitched nearly the same exact innings in 2005 then he did in 2006 (152 in 2005, 157 in 2006)....though the rain delay....
  14. Was hoping to see him pitch this season with an actual defense behind him...
  15. TB's offense is overrated, they were last place in runs last year and currently 13th this year (Which is mostly from beating up a bad Texas pitching staff in the past series, they were lower before the series). The Rays have yet to win a game Jackson has pitched in...so I'm feeling pretty good.
  16. Borchard is out of options, so he'd have to go through waivers to go down.
  17. He absolutely owned the PAC-10... his OPS his senior year was 1042, and I think he was a Pacific league all-star in 05. I love this move as well. Wow, I feel refreshed... a move I have some confidence in from the FO. You want to take a guess who had an OPS of 1.057 his senior year and PAC-10 All star in 1999? I'll give you a hint....graduated from Stanford.... Linden does have better career minor league stats though, with both sharing similiar time at certain leagues (One year of lots of time in AA, 4 years of AAA), with better AVG/OBP/SLG/OPS (not much in all but still better). Linden's minors BB/SO ratio of 0.52 isn't sexy, but it also isn't Borchard's 0.38. I'm not saying Linden is going to be some kind of savior...but I'd rather have him then Borchard.
  18. Low risk and possible high reward...he's had a good minor league career, and only 26. Even if he can't become more then a AAAA player, it's not like we lose much. I'm happy. And he's not Joe Botch-ard.
  19. Is Perry Hill only on a break or is he full-blown retired?
  20. I'd rather just drink water for free and take my vitamins. :thumbup So it's just basically water with, well, normal vitamin's in it...or is there anything else in it to make it more special?
  21. I agree...hate to admit it but he's pretty overrated, and if we can fill voids, we should fill voids. I absolutely LOVE him and would be heart broken as a Train fan if he was traded. But as a Marlin fan, I'd understand, expecially if we got three sure-thing prospects like the article talks about (Hopefully somebody will get desperate at the all-star break).
  22. Nats just took 3 out of 4 games from the Braves, winning back to back series now. Next series against Baltimore, then Cinci, then STL...they could get one one nice run.
