Game Thoughts- 8/10
Beautiful game. First, the rookie wasn't that bad, just one mistake to who else, Beltran. Second, the bullpen, once again saving our ass. Its funny, roles have alternated, last yaer we had a great rotation and a crappy bullpen, this year is the total opposite. And third, Hanley, I think we should all be grateful to be able to witness a player of his caliber and amazing potential (btw, he's already awesome!). He and Cabs, are IMO, the best right side of the infield in the Major Leagues (hitting wise ) I also loved hearing what he said about being here representing Florida, kinda sticking it to NY...hehehehe Great game boys!! You certainly have a great point referring to Hanley and Miguel. There's no doubt that no fans have had the chance to watch players such as Cabs and HanRam develop into MVP's like we have. totally agree, but it's the left side of the infield

Game Thoughts- 8/10
Hanley is the best baseball player in the universe Barone pitched pretty well, assume he's a regular now? Wolf, Gardner, Lindstrom, Gregg were great Lineup is awesome, good job Fredi Scotty O vs. Tommy G tomorrow, totally opposite but similar, hopefully

Ok that's a start; Hanley + Cabs > Reyes + Wright

Kei Igawa claimed by Padres
He was not released, yankees will not let him go without a trade due to the 26 million dollar posting fee they had to pay his japanese leagues team to nogotiate with him. that's hilarious. and why i thought his contract was so high. i guess 5 yrs/$20M isn't so bad for a team with some actual dough. but just great stuff that the yankees wasted that much on the guy. i'm sure his former japanese team is laughing.

Kei Igawa claimed by Padres
so the padres have to pick up his hugely overpaid contract? or because he was released does he sign a new one with the padres?

Your rotation needs... a 5th man (a 5th man). Who you gonna call? Barone! For the lowest price... Loria can (Loria can), Who you gonna call? Barone! I'm gonna miss the start because I'm on my way to Houston for the weekend and to catch a Stros game. Everyone please cheer hard in my place. well done. and great videos ifesta!

Miguel Olivo
funny becuase michael barret whose lauded as a good hitting catcher has only a .247 batting average with less home runs and rbi than olivo and yeah and paul lo duca has less too but everyone loves him so read the stats smartass. Among catchers with 100 PA this season, Olivo ranks 40th in OPS, at .636. That is in a word, terrible. LoDuca and Barret are both higher then him, and they are having off years compared to their much better career rates. Olivo isn't a fluke. He swings at everything, he's never going to improve. Just look at the plate discipline. He has 8 walks this season. He had 9 last year. The guy stinks in his role as a starter. Matt Treanor is 10th at .801 for shits and giggles. olivo is also quite possibly the worst starting, defensive catcher in baseball. and for a catcher, if you're unreliable defensively, and don't do well handling the pitchers, you're worthless. he has a strong arm? great! it really helped him throw that ball into center field the other night. and he's .255/.382. give me a break.

Game 2 vs Phillies Thoughts
but be good time now to start looking pitcher we have farm team so we can look who can help us next year our pitching staff need to be redone with some good pitcher in farm system Well miamibaseball haven't you learned from our fellow posters that the reason we play like the Bad News Bears is because of injuries and bad luck? Next year we should have Olsen, Dontrelle and Mitre back and with Nolasco and Sanchez our rotation should be the league's best. Don't worry about anything. All the problems are injury and bad luck related. will Sanchez be back with team? he do not see eye to eye with mangement with issue about paycheck that'll get resolved. every player is gonna have paycheck issues with this ownership. anibal showed what he could do last year and when he's healthy, he better be in the rotation.

Uggla on ESPN's First Take
Funny, Gregg on striking out Uggla. He said he knows his weakness. Anyone capable of throwing an outside slider on this board can strike him out... Didn't catch it. What was it about? what'd they ask/say?

Tomorrow's starter
he's still listed as the probable: Barone has been effective at Triple-A Albuquerque. The 24-year-old is 6-0 with a 4.42 ERA there, and overall this season, he is 7-3 with a 4.10 ERA, counting times at Double-A Carolina, logging 129 2/3 innings in 22 starts.

Joey Gathright is on fire
Is that Joey jumping the car? No, just some random black guy. :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :hat pretty ridiculous, but are we sure that he's not jumping off of something on the side of the car we can't see? You had never head of the Joey Gathright jumping over a car story befroe? I thought everyone had. i've seen that before but i'm a bit skeptical. but i guess i shouldnt be. either way its sick. Joey Gathright was signed by a scout who saw him jump over a car. I believe it was even written into his contract that he can no longer jump cars. wow, that's one of the funniest things i've ever heard.
