Game 2 vs Phillies Thoughts

Nice to see De Aza back

Willis stinks. Just all over the place.

Come back soon Hammer.

I blame the twins for Jake's woes.

Brett Myers is f***ing nasty when "on"

Hermida looked like crap out there again, but he had a nice DP with Treanor

Felt good to see De Aza back again. Treanor had a good game and a nice DP with Hermida.

Jake needs to get it going ASAP

There are still things to play for. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'm not raising the white flag until we've played 162 games.

Terrible game just wish Fredi would shake up the line up. What if we had...

1. De Aza

2. Hanley

3. Cabrera

4. Uggla

5. Willingham (when he's back from injury)

6. Jacobs

7. Hermida

8. Treanor

9. Pitcher

Only if De Aza is hitting consistently. and if it doesn't effect Han Ram's BA then leave him at the 2 spot. Also that gives us two base stealing threats at the top of the order.

Hey fellas. Your boys overacheived last season. The by far surpassed ANYONES including yours, mine, the medias whoever expectations. Now they are performing the way, with the same team (pretty much) as everyone thought they would. Blame your ownership for firing your manager. Or for not building on Cabs and hanley. The personel on the team is what it is. they should be praised for last season because they were an anomoly and over achieved, and should not be hated no because they are what they are. Until your ownership raises its budget, and your fans start paying for tickets it wont change.

I personally belive that if they stick in the miami market for a few more years the young kids that are growing up loving the marlins will be old enough to have kids that will love them, building a bigger fan base. Miami is as fickle as it comes (lived there for 5 years no offense) it will take time. I know you postersw on the board care, but it needs to be WAY more than just you guys.

I hope this doesnt anger you. It isnt meant to.

Lets be real i'm not knocking you guys or the marlins, i'm just pointing out some observations. I love baseball and have played/ followed the sport for years. I'm just giving an opinion. Especially since I lived in the damn city.

What he said.

bah, money hasn't had anything to do with it, other than possibly filling our CF hole.

We had 3 starting pitchers lost for the season and Dontrelle Willis has been stinky, you don't really have to look beyond that.

Couldn't agree more.

Whats up with henry owens? I went to college with him. I always rooted for him... cept against the phills. He was acctually a catcher at barry not a pitcher.

He is hurt. Many pitchers of ours are hurt/hurting. See above. Bad trend of ours.

You obviously have not followed enough because if you had you would know that we've been w/o Johnson, Sanchez, and Nolasco ractically the whole year. Thats 3/5 of our starting rotation last year and what a surprise we've struggled with our pitching while we're 5th in runs scored in the NL. So you might follow closer or do better homework before you say the team is no good.

Yea, and don't you mess with the Sharks again. This is our block.

Hmmm maybe but we lost leiber and Garcia this year, pitchers that people know about. We have also used the farm pulling up kendrick from double A to start and Durbin who got off waivers to start. I do know your starters have been injured, but they weren't non replaceable. Willis has sh*t the bed... Problem. Olsen has has his person porblems and has cause him to sh*t the bed. That is the major problem.

I do follow the team close, I know you go through centerfielders like strippers at tootsie go through condoms. I also know that you guys lucked into Kim because he did a solid job for guys, but let hum go to save a whole 800,000 bucks. So don't cry me the pitching blues. My team has the worst ERA in the NL.

I hate to admit it, but I did get some extra enjoyment out of Willis' first at bat since the pitch before the homer yielded a foul ball that beaned a Phillies fan not paying attention. Much better section of fans this time around than yesterday -- some good-natured taunting.

Can Willis get any worse? Fastball's staying up, slider's hanging, wild pitches on intentional balls, two throwing errors. Jesus.
