I didn't say I would take Rollins over Ramirez, but you can't say Rollins and Ramirez are a wash with the glove. Last year there was a huge difference, and in 2006 Rollins was still better. And it's not hard to lead the league in outs when you have a .344 OBP and lead off because you are fast and teams still stick to the antiquated notion that lead off hitter = fast guy. I know! So where would you hit him? In that lineup he shouldn't hit anywhere other than 1st or 2nd and I would rather have him leading-off than hitting 2nd. And he'll continue being in the top 10 of the league in outs, as he has every single year he's been in the league. And He'll continue being one of the best players in baseball. whether you like it or not.

There are some really dumb names being thrown about. Care to throw some out yourself then? C: Is probably not Pudge anymore. A case could be made for either V-Mart or Mauer, though neither is a stellar defender. 1B: Gotta be Pujols, though Lee isn't far behind. 2B: Probably gotta go with Utley. His defense isn't great, but he's so much better than anyone with the bat that there's no other choice. SS: Definitely not Rollins. Overrated both offensively and defensively. Possibly Hanley (Much better with the bat than Rollins, almost a wash with the glove), but I'll give it to Tulo for the glove. 3B: Arod (Miguel is not far behind) LF: No real standout defenders (If they were better defenders, they'd be in RF or CF) so you are left choosing between a multitude of stud bats with no glove (Bonds, Manny, Holliday, and to a lesser extent Dunn and Soriano) CF: Gotta be Andruw, despite the one bad season, he's still the best out there. Anyone saying Torii Hunter or Grady Sizemore is a fool. (Hunter's got a good glove, but he's an overrated hitter, Sizemore's a stud at the plate, but he's not much of a fielder) RF: Vlad or Magglio. Neither's got much of a glove, but there's not really anyone else. (If Hermida get's his head on in the field, this will be him in 2 years.) you're Delusional. J-Roll 11 errors. Hanley 24 errors.

1B. Pujols 2B. Chase Utley 3B. A-Rod SS. Jimmy Rollins but soon to be Hanley Ramirez LF Manny Ramirez (shaky defense but the hitting more than makes up for it) RF ? CF Andruw Jones C Joe Mauer That is pretty close to what I'd say, Though I think Andruw is falling off the top of the mount at CF.. RF is really a tough one as well. There are a lot of = players, but no real standouts IMHO.

Roto World The Marlins are showing interest in Wes Helms, who had a fine season as a part-time player in Florida in 2006. The Phillies haven't upgraded in third base, so they may not just give Helms away, even though they weren't at all happy with his performance in the first season of a two-year, $5.45 million contract. On the other hand, if they know they can dump Helms' salary, the Phillies might be more likely to take on Brandon Inge's contract or bid for Pedro Feliz. The Marlins are also looking at Jorge Cantu as a possible option at third base. We think they should be pursuing a second baseman with the idea of moving Dan Uggla to third.

What about the ridiculous win streak Colorado had to go on just to get into the postseason? Not undersellnig the Phillies achievement but don't use that excuse as a valid reason why JR won over MH. What does it matter? There's no difference When you win, or how you do it. As long as the W column at the end of the season adds up to NL East champs, WC, and so on.. That's all that matters.

He's not even the best shortstop in the NL. Who is? Hanley Ramirez. He has the potential to be the best. Sure he can hit, but his fielding is Sub Par. His fielding may be subpar at the moment, but he's a better hitter/base stealer than Rollins. Hanley's defense will get better in time. I dont disagree. When you are an SS your Defense is pretty damn important though.

.344 OBP for an MVP hooray Since it is measured as an all around player, I'm glad they dont use just one stat. J-Roll said, "we are the team to beat in the NL east." He backed it up from day one. Howard was hurt, J-Roll played well. Howard Stunk for a while and Utley got hurt, but still J-Roll played well. His game as an all around player is awesome, he was the leader of the Phillies, and picked up the slack for the rest of the guys when they were injured. He deserved it.
