I have a WD external hard drive. When I turn the computer on the external hard drive always turns on automatically.. that is until today. Now the little icon on the lower right hand corner is missing and I can't access the files on the external. This is the first time this happens in the 18 months I've had this thing. I haveen't moved anythign so it's not a loose cable or anything like that. Anyone know how to get the external going again? Thanks. This may be a stupid question, but it has to be asked. Is the hard drive turned on? Knowing what I know (18 months old), it probably has a big round button with a light around it on the front. If the light isn't on, then press that button.
