  3. Awesome game. Anibal did great. Everyone in the line up contributed to the 12 runs.
  4. As much as I love the BoSox, I didn't want Manny here. I just felt it wouldn't be the same.
  5. I was there in The Tank as well. Sec 126 Row 6 wearing a Conine jersey. And yeah, the crowd was electric tonight, it was great. That said, the best one this year was by far vs the Reds where Cody Ross eventually hit the walkoff homer. I was there with him. Electric crowd. And yes.. Met fans were crying... boo hoo.
  6. Todd Grisham is the new sidekick to Tazz. I don't watch ECW but Tazz deserves a better partner.

  12. If it's a huge risk to play with the tears in the muscle, then he shouldn't play. Stop being selfish, Treanor.
  13. MIAMI -- Results from an MRI exam on Monday revealed Marlins catcher Matt Treanor has three muscle tears in his left hip-pelvic area. On Tuesday, Treanor said that he will have to face surgery. The question remains: when? For now, Treanor plans to put surgery on hold as he hopes to be able to play again this season. The 32-year-old has been the club's primary catcher. But he went on the disabled list with what has been called a left hip strain on July 8. On Monday, Treanor was examined by Dr. William Meyers in Philadelphia. Basically, Treanor has the same injury that Philadelphia Eagles quarter Donovan McNabb had in 2005. It has commonly been called a sports hernia. Treanor had a cortisone shot on Monday, and on Tuesday he was doing some baseball activities: catching pitchers in the bullpen and taking some batting practice. "Surgery is imminent, regardless if I play the season with the cortisone," Treanor said. "I'm still going to need surgery. "I'm going to try to get through it with the shot, and see how it goes. He told me to resume full activities. I had quite a big workload. Tomorrow I'll see how I recover from that, and Thursday I hope to play in some games." The Marlins aren't considering activating Treanor any time soon. But if all goes well, he could start playing in some Minor League rehab games as early as Thursday. "I miss the team and I feel like an outsider being on the DL," said Treanor, who has appeared in 54 games and he is batting .240. "Three muscles are involved, and there are some small tears in each of them. There is a chance I will get hurt worse. "I felt like the best thing I could do is see if I could get through the season. I feel really good today." Recovery time from the surgery is three weeks to resume baseball activities, and four to six weeks to get in game shape. With Treanor on the DL, the Marlins have been going with John Baker and Paul Hoover behind the plate. Treanor notes there is risk to continue playing, noting that he could aggravate the muscle tears more. Asked specifically what they are calling the injury, Treanor said: "You hear sports hernia. It's muscles that protect the pelvic girdle. All three are related." Treanor first felt discomfort in his hip area at Oakland on June 21. He's since had two MRI exams taken, one in San Diego in early July and the one in Philadelphia on Monday. If he opts for surgery during the season, there is a chance he will miss the remainder of the year. If he puts surgery off until October, he would be fully recovered in plenty of time before next Spring Training. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...sp&c_id=fla
  14. WASHINGTON -- The Phillies recalled pitcher J.A. Happ on Tuesday as expected, taking Adam Eaton's place on the 25-man roster. The left-hander was pulled from his Sunday start for Triple-A Lehigh Valley after 2 2/3 scoreless innings and 41 pitches, then was seen accepting congratulations from teammates in the dugout. The shorter stint signals that the Phillies likely will use him as a lefty reliever. Happ compiled a 3.27 ERA with no decisions in two starts for this Phillies this season. After being optioned back to Triple-A, he allowed six hits in 15 2/3 innings, with three walks and 23 strikeout in three outings. Eaton accepted a Minor League assignment on Monday, and will return to a starter's role. Losing his rotation spot after the acquisition of Joe Blanton, Eaton had made two relief appearances since being moved to the bullpen on July 18. The team had been non-committal in naming Happ as the roster addition, fueling talk that a trade was imminent. The Phillies might still make a move by Thursday's 4 p.m. non-waiver Trade Deadline. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...sp&c_id=mlb

  16. AWESOME GAME!! Cody with the RBI to make it 2-2 and the RBI to make it 4-3. Andino with some clutch hitting to make it 7-3. No polls.... and go! Note: I hate the polls.
  17. MIAMI -- It almost seemed inevitable that Alejandro De Aza would be barred from playing this season. On Monday, it became official, as it was announced that the young outfielder underwent right ankle surgery on Friday. The procedure was an arthroscopy -- a minimally invasive procedure in which the joint doesn't have to be fully opened -- and De Aza will miss the rest of the year. De Aza, a Rule 5 Draft pick by the Marlins in 2004, hasn't played this season after suffering a high ankle sprain during the last inning of the last Spring Training game of the season. The 24-year-old center fielder collided with John Raynor on March 29 and was placed on the disabled list shortly thereafter. In his rookie season last year, the six-foot lefty hit .229 with eight RBIs in 45 games. Left-handed starter Andrew Miller (right knee tendinitis) threw a pair of bullpen sessions while the Marlins were in Chicago last week. The 6-foot-6 23-year-old expects to throw batting practice in Jupiter, Fla., on Thursday. "I'm feeling well," said Miller, who hasn't been running but has been spending a lot of time riding the elliptical bike. "I'm going to take three or four days off to rest up, and hopefully, I could pitch in games at some point. But nothing is written in stone. "Everything they've got back there [in the trainer's room] they're using on me to try to get me back." Catcher Matt Treanor (left hip strain) flew to Philadelphia on Monday to meet with groin-injury specialist Dr. William Meyers, who diagnosed Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb with a sports hernia in 2005. The club wouldn't reveal any information about Treanor's visit, but the 32-year-old is expected to be back in South Florida on Tuesday. And no matter what is decided in the near future, it's safe to say that Treanor's injury is worse than was anticipated when he went on the DL on July 8. "In talking to [head athletic trainer] Sean [Cunningham], I guess that's a tough thing to diagnose," manager Fredi Gonzalez said. In other injury-related news, Burke Badenhop (right shoulder tendinitis) had his next rehab assignment put on hold because of a stiff neck, and catcher Mike Rabelo (right wrist/foot) is not doing any baseball activity. I didn't even know Rabelo was injured.

  19. That's funny. And pretty sad at the same time... I know most theatres give those away after the movie has been removed from theatres. He just could have asked them.

  22. I know this might seem silly to some of you, but I am not too crafty with message boards, and signatures, or avatars. How can I add a picture to my signature. Thanks Well.. what you can do is A) get a photobucket account and upload pictures there and then post them on the board by using the [url-] link [/url-] ( without the dashes ofcourse) or B) look at any picture online, right click copy the image location link and do the same thing. It's actually: DUH! lol I can't believe I messed that up.
