It was pretty obvious this team was going to have pitching depth issues after trading weathers and Cabrera and signing a declining reclamation project (and Luzardo last year). All evidence says this isn’t a team trying to win this year at all but rather assess players. If they don’t care I don’t care

The pitching depth thing was a pretty predictable outcome when they trade all their SPs and only bring in paddack who was basically a flyer. To me, it’s just further confirmation this is another assessment year and they’re not serious about winning this year, which is fine. they really need some of their OFers they traded for to start hitting thought because this team is in big trouble if they don’t
