Hanley had a real good night, and a real bad one. I believe he went 3-6 with 2 rbi's but 3 k's. Hanley is the man, he's going to hit OVER .340/20 hr's/100 rbi's just, he has problems with RISP. better than last year, but, still struggles. That is why he is not the best hitter in the game, top 5, but not the best (see pujols, albert aka the machine) What the hell are you talking about man? He's hitting like over .420 with RISP and LEADS THE MLB! You're freakin crazy

No he's not ready because he has poor control, no good ogfspeed pitches, and very little minor league seasoning. We need a5th starter if we are serious about a playoff run I don't want him on the team right now either (but really, like Hensley is such a sure thing) but really. He has no good offspeed pitches? You say this today after the Phills have been tapping his slider into the ground for pathetic f***ing hits all night? Hensley has put up better numbers in a better league and has some ml experience. I say try him out and if doesn't work then find somebody on the waiver wire if we are serious about a playoff run I wanted to go with Hensley as well but you say "better" as if he his numbers were any good. He has a 6.17 ERA over the last two years. There's a reason that he's been released by the Astros and the horrifically bad Padres (TWICE!) in the last year. West has much better stuff and higher upside, Hensley's only qualifications above him is that he had a good season in 2006. seems like enough for Hermida.

JJ is filthy, really makes me mad that people on espn and mlb channel dont talk about us as having one of the best 1-2 punches in mlb because we don't. and please let me know how we dont? Nolasco has a 5.00 ERA. JJ is up there but the JJ-Nolasco combination is no where close to Lincecum-Cain. Nolasco is as good as anyone when he's pitching well. He does actually have very good stuff. Key word is when he's pitching well. You have to be consistant to be one of the best in the league, and he hasn't been consistant this season so I can't even fathom how someone would think our 1-2 punch is close or better than SF's or DET's. EDIT: Hell, even close to PHI's now...
