CajunMarlin

My body is ready.

In all seriousness, though, I hope that this team can pull out a year like 2008. Little expectations, lots of young players stepping up, fun club to watch even if they were never seriously in contention.

I'll take CF White SS Renteria RF Sheffield 3B Bonilla LF Alou 1B Conine C Johnson 2b Counsell P Brown ...oh wait.

I can't believe anyone would be against this deal considering the lack of production behind the plate last year and the relatively frugality of the final numbers. I love it!

Ugh

I think the rebrand has hurt just as much as the decline in the product on the field. It's much easier to not watch/care when what you're seeing bears no resemblance to what you grew up loving and rooting for. At least for me, I feel I would be more invested if we had the old colors/uniforms. I know that sounds silly to some, but I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking it.

Apathy. That's all you can have with this team.

I'm not sure why anyone thought this season would include consistent victories. The team is awful as currently constructed. It was just thrown together without any real plan. We should not be cheering for victory, only for improvement from our young players and good effort from all.

And we're off!

Wow. This postgame thread has been classic.

I think the Coghlan/Polanco sandwich is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen in a baseball lineup Agreed

Did anyone think we'd actually beat Strasburg today with this lineup? Ricky did all he could. I commend his effort.

Positives: Ricky's pitching. We lost to Strasburg. I won't even list the negatives.

I'd say our OPS for the year will be last in the Majors.

Cogs. Futile.

walk off win anyone? What are the odds? Impossible

They are tuned into Dunn.

I honestly forgot Greg Dobbs was still on this team.

What the Hech!

Ok, Stras is gone. Time to get some hits. Need runs; hit aren't enough Hard to get runs without hits.

Baserunner!

Ok, Stras is gone. Time to get some hits.

Qualls looking filthy!

16 years of MLB experience and you can't keep your ass on first base?
