April 10, 201313 yr Author Not sure if I can recall ever seeing Brantly drop down a sac bunt. It's probably happened but he's clearly not a comfortable bunter. Red needs to know that. It's a stupid call anyway as he's a better hitter than anyone after him, also Kimbrel had just walked a batter and Brantly's one of the few guys who can actually work a deep count, maybe he walks another. Meanwhile Hech's like 0-20. It's a crap job by Brantly too but that doesn't seem like putting players in the best position. I hate the call regardless but even more so in that scenario. he's basically new at this but it's not like a rookie mistake, these are calculated decisions, and they're dumb. whatever. 4 hits. 1 extra-base hit.

Also he threw a second inning which seemed unnecessary. If we could hit we'd probably score a few off of opposing teams' bullpens too.

April 10, 201313 yr I really want to like Mike Redmond and in a low expectation season it seems like I could.............. but he's making it really difficult Not sure why Brantley wasn't swinging there with what was yet to come up - amongst other things I actually don't have horrible memories of '98 .... I was living in Philly and got to see some games, generally had a good time and beside being taunted by philly fans about "buying a WS" - it didn't matter, because less than a year before I saw the team I like win the WS I think this year may be the most trying as a Marlins fan and I fear we are just getting started

April 10, 201313 yr I love this team but this is the most frustrated I have ever been. I would take last years team before having to watch this group of aging or minor league players, regardless of how many wins they brought. Most have no future or are nothing more than utility players. There is no power outside of Stanton. This is rough.
