Everything I'm hearing sounds serious. Person I know interning with medical staff won't say anything. Usually they're this secretive only if it's serious (or high profile which is the case with Jose). Sounds like we'll have to live without Jose until Opening Day 2015 to June 2015. Think that would be pretty optimistic.

Wonder what impact this will have on the upcoming draft. Does the FO feel the need to draft a pitcher more so now or do they now shy away from a pitcher given the risk? Esp with Rondon and his pitch counts at NC State and declining velo.

Yeah season is over. At least Stanton is having a great year. Time to sell high and trade him at the deadline. With no Jose next year, next year is dead too. No reason to keep Stanton around for one year of a playoff run in 2016. FO needs to realize this Jose injury decided Stanton's fate with this team for them. Fans come to see Jose, not Stanton. Hopefully they realize this and plan for 2016. Put a decent infield together.

At this point I would be shocked if he doesn't get TJ. Now I just hope the Marlins get this right and have the surgery done ASAP and don't fiddle around with the rehab route in hopes of keeping him around longer to drag out the Jose effect.
